Here is my verdict
>Drop rates
Like we expected, 1% chance to drop cards and rare equips turned out to be a good idea. No one likes to jump into a new low rate server just to farm everything again, like they have done plenty of times in the past. This also encourages everybody to try different classes and builds since some specific setting is easier to farm/achieve. For now I think we should keep as it is BUT some loot shouldn't be at 100x. Idea: for loot bellow 0.1% drop, raise it to 1%, for loot between 1% and 0.1%, raise it to 5%, for loot between 10% and 1%, raise it to 30%, everything else goes to 100x

>Exp rate
14x is fine when we have such few people playing. If the server ever grows, I think it should be reduced to 8~10x

>Cash shop/monetization
I'm fine with costumes, exp manuals, exclusive hairs/colors, sexchanges, auras, etc

>Getting more people to play
For now this server is only known in this general, we should try to expand it to other boards in this indonesian animated tapestry forum

As for loot rate I don't even understand the point of making things rare anymore. There's not going to be a market, there's not going to be an economy, and zeny is effectively useless outside of reset cost, NPC quests & vendors, and skill usage. A low rate for loot isn't going to stop people from getting their items, it just forces them to spend more time to do so.

Either make the resetter a bit cheaper, first X resets free, or free under a certain base level
Nerf Yggdrasil Seeds/Berries drop rates
Rewrite Warper to not warp to levels, but potentially listing some popular places for a fee (which might include guild dungeons)
Setup a patcher to get rid of all these annoying manual patch downloads
Simple web page, for the sole purpose of having a control panel
Unobtainable Hats NPC (simple quests or just a lot of zeny, feel free post hat requests)
Make the healer cost a slight fee to lessen abuse / make SP items have a purpose in this world
Make main chat color a bit brighter (Yes we have one! Nobody uses it because I guess Poporing's guidl chat serves the same purpose basically)

On the whole Beta thing, no, the server isn't gonna be wiped.

Got some questions after a few days of playing, I have a Ranger level 144:

- My damage are shit according to everyone I do Gramps with, what do I need to put as stats for AS? I tried adapting my arrow type to weaknesses but how do I do with farming enemies with different weaknesses? Do I need to switch types on the fly?

- In need the WW equipment, I was told to buy it with zeny instead of Mora Coins by farming places like Juperos, problem is: I get totally destroyed in these places, is my character supposed to be able to farm these places yet or is that normal?

Depending on the weapon when you hit 130 - 150 of your attack stat. For a hunter at 150 dex comp bows become slightly stronger than orc archer bows/crossbows and anything higher comp bows will get better and better.

I don't understand what you're on about with save points. Each Kafra saves you to a certain point, near them.

Making them save your current location is pointless because it's the same result, you'll just spawn somewhere else around them since you still need to get to a kafra to save.

Sounds like what you want is @save, which I'm most definitively not giving players access to.

Alright, you who don't like me taking away the level select (and those who got mad over no field select). Before you totally condemn me, I do plan on adding some bottom level dungeons, and field hot spots and even guild dungeons to the warper under a "Special options" menu.

For a fee, so you don't just pop in and out as many times as you want, and bring a whole army of mutliclient slaves.

If you truly want no limits on where you can warp, there are, you know, actual high rate servers that cater to that kind of instant reward playstyle. I understand it was a bad idea to launch the server with things that I was planning on taking away. But if I'd waited a week or two to launch, fix everything up real well first and think things through, don't you think people would have lost all interest well before then?

For a bit of context, I'm the linuxfag running the client through wine. What happens here is that langtype 0 makes the game load some gook font(or, failing that, an equally bad fallback font) with ugly as fuck, small, latin characters. The 12px client helps a bit, but it makes the font look even more atrocious.
With most other langtypes the game loads Arial and that's nice and readable, but then I can't login.
I think I might have nailed how to trick wine into loading the font I want instead, but I'm not sure.

I had already tried substituting all font names in the executable with Arial, but obviously things can't be that simple and it didn't work.

Outt of luck with Nemo too.
Apparently the ugly font my client uses is some fallback font because my system lacks proper gook fonts, and RO is adamant it must run in gook mode so it falls back to that font even if I tell Nemo to use something else.
There's an option to force ASCII mode on Nemo too, but it gives me an error if I try to select it, so it seems I'm limited to forcing it to use a gook font that at least doesn't look as bad as the other one.

It stacks over your enlarge weight limit skill.
So merchs get more weight limit for less moolah than any other class. Also, it might be useful if you don't want to max weight limit. You can use the extra 5 skill points on another skill and then get 5 gym passes so it doesn't feel like you lost anything.

Because Nova emulates renewal faithfully, and renewal is fucking terrible.

The entire 100-175 PvM experience is literally gramps because nobody will party for anything else, and gramps is just auto-follow while the Rangers and ABs demonstrate to every other class why they made an incorrect decision at the job master. And end-game is pretty damn boring unless you love farming OGH.

PvP is not fun. Just about every class needs the WoE set to survive any Sura's GoH, and even when you're geared up everything is either a competition of who Releases Tetra Vortrekt or gets FSK->MasqIgno first. It's a quick-draw-fest, and maybe this is subjective but that's just ass.

Leika on the other hand actually tries to balance Gravity's shit third class design, and does a lot to make PvM not tedious and repetitive as fuck - mob skills actually doing damage, champion mobs being like mini-bosses that give a tonne of exp, and shit like what they've done to Undersea City?

If you want to play RO with new content and third classes except not completely fucked up as they are in Gravity's official renewal, then definitely play Leika.
