Japs actually use her for some esports. She out-damages Naru on light and they run her in a lot of solo videos so they don't have to run mist.

She's still considered weaker than the core attackers though. Mostly she's a start dash character since she doesn't have to work for damage and can make a shitty mediocre impression on dark.

So why did people hate on the fist and gun from robomi event again? They aren't super important or anything but they both had large normal attack passives for their element, and are a gun/fist so they have good atk. Is it because no one needs them for a main weapon? I also have sara and catherine of course.

If you are joining sneks and only get 5 turns then ya gandalf is best. However the majority of the rest of the time you will be using sara eugen and 1 more.

For that 1 more you will be using Catherine, Aru, sarasa, okto, or one of the many earth attackers. You should prioritize getting the supports like catherine and aru first since there's a chance you will get nemone or ayer or whoever and they're all kind of interchangeable. Whereas with aru and catherine and Sara you can't choose someone else to use instead.

Post-buff Mellu should do fine until you get a GW chara.
If you want to use your ticket on earth then go for Catherine. Arulumaya is also nice in HL because veil but I'd say Cath takes priority.
But if you're really, really desperate for more damage ASAP then just get Gandalf.
