Also, I'm finally thinking of switching to Aether, and probably either Balmeme or Gilgamesh.

Primal has next to no people playing PvP at all and the PvP scene is much more lively on Aether, even if it does suck.

If you're just starting out I've been playing SCH lately and it's surprisingly comfy. In retrospect it's a nice gateway healer because your pet does a lot more work than I expected. Again if you're just starting, an important thing to keep in mind that "Maining" a class will still require you to level your compatible cross classes for their useful skills, as in a lot of cases they can be critical later in the game.

But AST is fun. Yeah, the design was a let down, but people who parrot the "it's just a WHM with cards" meme haven't played either enough because they play very differently.

Anyway I chose AST because I like the aesthetics and theme. I've always liked Time Mages in prior FF games and what their abilities consist of. I'm a little more upset that AST doesn't have more time-related abilities, but I'm sure we'll see more of that come 4.0.

It's good to start with for aoe rotations iirc, since it combos off of heavy thrust. You heavy thrust then use the combo'd RoT, then spam doom spike. It's also good if there are so many enemies that your doom spike can't hit enough of them, but this doesn't happen too often.

It's only worth using in AOE, and only if you proc your heavy thrust. HT must be performed from the flank in order to combo into it, unlike pretty much every other combo it's reliable on the positional. If you miss the flanking hit, it's not worth using, just go to doom spike.

Really? Thanks. My friends says it's way too clustered, but it's just fine for me. Since it allows me to look at the main focus which is my feet, and I can notice my Mp / Hp / Skill CDs / AoEs etc
