These are the only two rounds I still have trouble with. Everything else I now have a good strategy for and pretty much always succeed at.
Banshee raiders? Not a problem.
Grunt Goblins? Simple.
Kill 60 soldiers? They give me all the suppressors I need.
But these two rounds I haven't figured out yet.
With the 3 wardens it's mostly just a time issue. If they gave us the full round time just to hit the 3 wardens, it wouldn't be an issue.
With the defense of the armory, I have no idea how to strategize.

The only difficult thing about firefight is the amount of time they give you.
If you're dying more than 3 times in a game, you need to stop what you're doing and reassess how you're going in, because the enemies themselves are not hard

The Wardens in the back of the core room are a pain.
My suggestion is, rather than wasting time trying to maneuver and position tanks to fire at them, put on an Overshield and use the ONI or Jorge chaingun.
If possible, get multiple teammates to do that and split the Warden's attention.
Scenario like that is why I really wish the Mantis was able to jump, or step/clamber up onto things.

Just played CE for the first time.
My first Halo game was 3 and I've played all the games since.

This was easily the best campaign in the series for me, so I see why it still gets praised. So unless 2 is even better, I think this might be my faborite, with ODST as my #2.

2A: 25%
3: 75%

CE is an old game that has aged very poorly. The only reason it's talked about is because oldfags that shouldn't even be on this board can't let it go.
There's no reason to play 2 when 2A exists. It's the same thing but with far better visuals and enough maps to pick and choose from.
3 should be the overwhelming majority of the custom sessions. This is where Halo finally found its niche and created the golden Triangle of Halo: grenades, melee, and shooting. This is the Halo the majority of the fanbase loves and rememveres, and it has the best map roster in the series hands down.
4 is a joke that shits on everything that made Halo 3 great, so obviously avoid it.

Composer is still one of the best levels in Halo history.

It's the first level, ever, in the series where the game actually makes the Master Chief out to be an unkillable hero. Civilians are dying left and right, people are stunned at your proficiency, begging for your help, stunned at a Spartan being present. It just felt really good.

Halo 5 has extreme game-play design issues. Mainly the entire thing being balanced around co op (with no fucking splitscreen)

I played it earlier on legendary (solo)because scoring is back. I made the mistake of not getting the hydra launcher on Blue Team. The Hunters were basically impossible to kill. Well, not impossible, but ridiculous bullet sponges even with the shotgun. It was clear I didn't have a weapon the game required me to have, and that it was either restart, or spend 15 minutes whittling down their health, while dying over and over and over. Instead I simply quit. It essentially takes two people to reliably kill a hunter now, or have a power weapon. The level was a blast and a breeze up until the hunters, but then it was a chore. Not difficult in a way that was fun, difficult in a way that was infuriating.

Both Composer and Midnight are good as a collective bookend to Halo 4.

Halo 5's last level is... ok? It's not the worst level in the game, but it's still nothing that great.

Hunters were better when their weak spot was a super weak spot. The CE pistol is gone, but why not allow Sniper rifles a 1-shot kill again? CE balanced this well by making hunters a common enemy that were intimidating but not a pain to fight. Halo 3, 4, and 5 have made hunters extremely rare, but when they do show up their insufferable annoying to take down. It's a worse all around design desicion.

What do you guys think of the smaller Halo related channels?

Halo 3s population dipped gradually but a ton left because Reach was a massive turn off, as well as competition such as CoD. Halo 4 sold so well on the pretence that Chief was coming back and it was a return to form. This didn't happen and it flopped massively with an absolute abysmal online population mere weeks after its initial release.

For many, Halo 4 was the final nail in the coffin. To say that Halo 4 could have been the best Halo ever and still flop is the fucking stupidest thing I've ever read on hg and this is your second time posting it

Plus, COD is not an exclusive, so all those kids who have PS3 friends were encouraged to play what they were playing.

It really depends on the map. That's the best thing about Halo 2 multiplayer. The maps are so variable and unique that there no single secret sauce approach to every map.

On maps with lots of open space such as Containment or Coag, yeah, you're going to want to have a BR or carbine of you don't have a Sniper.
At the same time, enclosed maps like Turf or Lockout, dual wielding SMG/plasma users will absolutely shit on BR users.

Halo 3 ruined this by giving spartan's the melee strength of an oxe. Close quarter fights would often end in both players melee ing each other to death.

Movement was never hindered by those railings, as you could just easily jump over them. The argument could also be made that this is worse because it allows too much freedom without any thought.

That's wrong. The hallways are the same width.

This is also wrong, you can't go through teleporters while facing any direction now, so all a guy has to do is sit behind the teleporter and get a free backsmack every time.
Or all he has to do is sit on the teleporter and block it completely because Halo 3 has no telefragging.
