I have a trip for many reasons, if you're a mod maker, and you're an anon, what's stopping someone from pretending to be you, and uploading a file with, say, your filenames, and the mod is a virus or contains illegal content? I've seen the depths 4chan will go to to fuck with people, a tripcode is an easy way to stop it. And a trip is also an easy way to be filtered if people don't like that person. Some people get begged to get trips just so they can be filtered.
