Hey guys, used to play the shit out of PAD about a year and a half ago. I last remember that Bastet got her devil type ult-evo. OH! And juggler was released in japan and wrecked shit, and they didn't bother with nerfing him/her.

Anyway, I had a couple questions.
First, what major changes have there been? I noticed some new special effects (like when you use an ability) I also noticed the 'experience wasted' when you go to level up a monster to full.

Did they ever fix how to actually ult-evo a creature? Is there anything else I'm missing?

Second, I'm looking for a friend to gift. Might as well, none of my real life friends are playing again.

Third, here's my box. I got Ronia, but she ends up costing so many points that I can't really put a team together with her. Not only that, but I forgot how few devils there were early on. So, what should I be grinding/doing with this box? I thought about running the vampire dungeon until he drops, and getting him leveled up for another devil.
On that note, anyone here running ronia looking for a very active newbie friend?

But here's the thing: she will carry you through the game into the lower descends. When people spout meta nonsense, they're talking about the top 1% of the game like the Arenas and Machine dungeons. RSonia can do all the Normals with the right subs, some of the descends, and most of the Technicals. Keep rolling for better leaders and subs though.

If it were me I'd reroll, but sonia endgame value is not quite 0 (she's a decent inherit), and she isn't bad for the earlygame if you find some good avritra to best friend, so you can keep her

you can easily get and even skill a vamp or two if you find someone kind enough to carry you through alts that drop him, you can get some descend drops too in a similar fashion, like gravis and other easy ones

Honestly, it doesn't really matter all that much. The meta is constantly shifting, so what's good right now is going to be trash in a few months (according to padg, anyways). The only thing that matters is having a starting roll that can get you through King of the Gods with as little reliance on the REM as humanly possible. Because that's where you're going to grind for rank (unless someone carries you through Monday dungeon). Beyond that it's just hoarding stones for GFs and hoping you roll whatever the current awesome lead is along with their subs.

You can play the game without money and still have a top tier team (if you're lucky). But you'll have to recognize that your progression in the game will be much slower than an IAPer, and by the time you finish building the top tier end game team it may already be obsoleted by powercreep. That's not a big deal if you don't have any problem playing at your own pace rather than playing at the meta's pace.

Any of those leads from the reroll guide will let you clear all of the Normal dungeons, most of the Technical dungeons, and some of the Descends. All leads require "some sort of set up" to be good and clear later content. Some are more easy to get going than others. For example, it's a bit harder to build a good team for Ra than it is for Bastet. Ra is also a bit harder to play in the beginning.
