Blizzard has outright said that Legion will be a melee-biased expansion with how dominant ranged has been for such a long time. Hell, just look at PVP. Each ranged class has one, maybe two escape tools while each melee class has three+ gap closers.

Does anyone feel like tanks are going to be super broken in PVP in legion?

I'm not in the legion beta and PTR is kind of a shitshow, so I haven't had an opportunities to test this out, but I've been looking at blood DKs in particular.

One of their lv60 talents, mark of blood, takes just 30 RP to make a target's autoattacks heal whatever they hit for 2% of their max health for 24 seconds. That's quite a bit of nearly passive healing against a rogue or enhance shaman, for instance.

Where things get really crazy, though, is their PVP tree. Like all tanks, in the second row, they get a talent (murderous intent in this case) that makes their target take 20% additional damage for 6 seconds after a taunt. It's refreshed on melee hits, meaning that if you can reliably hit two different people with melee hits, it will always be up on both of them. If you can reliably hit one with melee hits and occasionally get another enemy with the taunt, you'll also have pretty good uptime on a second target.

On top of that, in the last row, they get death chain (pic related). This has the same CD as death grip, so if you're facing 2x melee + healer--barring cases where you're CCed or out of LoS when it comes off CD--it will always be up on all 3 enemies. The same could be said if you train a healer and occasionally grip in a ranged DPS. Since 25% of damage is reflected onto each other target in the chain, this means that ANY attack on any chained target effectively deals 150% damage. This is only increased further with the taunt debuff.

Idk about the effectiveness of this kind of build in comps like turbo and TSG that mostly deal damage on one target at a time, but with an aff lock partner for example, the damage gains that they'd see on their DoT cleave seem like they would be pretty insurmountable. DKs also have lots of self-healing, so you might see some synergy with a resto shaman using the PVP talent spirit link, which should have ~66% uptime against many comps. Thoughts?

All's quiet on my RP realm.

It's pretty mundane as there's no story to further roll with, during the dry periods between expansions.

It doesn't help that Warlords was utterly shit for lore and RP settings. Noone wants to do stuff on some alternate world.

Progressive azeroth plot is more fun than some world noone will stay on.

This isn't wrath. Tanks do not have higher control and utility does not matter without output to counter pressure or score kill. You will end up with a situation where you have tanks being too strong because they have adequate DPS to score a kill but more utility or completely worthless because they can only keep the team alive for another cool down cycle but never kill.

Alternatively, they'll be like hunters every single time they've had a bad season where they'd pair with a retarded overpowered class and hit all their CC buttons but instead tanks will hit their don't die everyone for a short time buttons and taunt to wombo combo do unhealable damage.

No matter how you slice it. Tanks do not belong in arena because they cannot be balanced. It is intrinsically going to be too strong or too weak.

It's late beta and the reason why it can't work is because mechanically it's going to be broken stacking more multipliers with a DPS that stacks multipliers and say a sky fury totem or dark arch angel. It has literally nothing to do with the numbers and it's going to be broken in Legion just like every other time they've tried to make tanks viable.

Expect nerfs into oblivion.

Just open your spellbook and put those core abilities on your action bar, and put any skills you learn from talent tree there as well. You won't need anything else. Then just go in and heal everyone, it's simple.

After years as a healer, I've made a conclusion that the best way to insult those retards is simply to let them die. Install a recount or skada to see how your group is performing. In critical situation you want to sacrifice 1-2 persons to keep your top dps and tank alive instead of trying to save some zero dps and eventually wipe the whole group.

Also, I almost never ress retards, who are just silently lying there and waiting for some to run from the graveyard and ress them. If the group dies and one faggots decides that he's a special snowflake and can just chill there while you all run - fucking instant vote kick, no discussion.

Threat them all like you are the only sane person in the group and have to lead 4 braindead retards.

For RP it depends on what you want from RP.

MMO RP is pretty much just sitting around a tavern and sharing your characters obnoxiously long tumblr profile. If you're alright with that then sure, and RP server like Moon Guard or Wyrmrest would be right up your alley.

PVP servers are ALWAYS going to have PVP though.

RPPVP servers have less of both but if you're willing to try to look for it you might find it of higher quality in both regards.
