That they did, hence I only said the start of it. That wagon scene is our intro to the world of Berserk in the manga, so I'm glad they kept it around. We knew long beforehand what bits of the manga the anime would cover and so far they have stuck to it.

I'm not saying the series will be amazing, for all I know they can screw everything up next week, but the first episode was very enjoyable.
