I haven't tried those commands yet.

I tried starting up Skyrim with all my mods, then some of my mods and then finally vanilla. Running the Skyrim_launcher.exe with no compatibility, WIn8 compat, and then Win7 compat.

I made sure that the game was complete uninstalled and then reinstalled it.

Seems everytime the game starts up fine, goes to main menu fine, goes to the load screen (that always shows Alduin) and after a few seconds just crashes to desktop with no error code or anything, just simply closes.

Ok, I tried using coc qasmoke, that worked and took me to a small dark room, I tried to to teleport to whiterun via "coc whiterun" and then immediately crashed.

Yeah, but sadly it was changed to only show the best rated. That's stupid because even when using the option to show the newest, it only did it for the first page and return back to the best rated if you change page. It really need to be fixed.

What he is trying to say is that Skyrim on Windows 10 is kinda fucked atm where the game limits your VRAM to 4gb atm. If your video card has more than 4gb, skyrim will still only use the 4gb.

How can you not. The Favorite menu is one of the worst things in skyrim, it constantly interrupts your gameplay to switch spells/weapons/whatever. Its killing immersion, makes no sense and is by every meaning of the word disruptive garbage. There is a million different ways to handle this better, and one of them is Keybinds.

opinions and shit, but nobody can deny that the favorite menu is absolutely shit. That works in a CRPG with turnbased combat, but not in a SwordFPS

They didn't take it far enough tbqh, I treat that favorites thing as "the gear I have access to" which works well with AllGearedUp and based on the (broken) ini edit I'd say thats what Bethesda intended it to be. It already has hotkeys so you don't have to break immersion for things like swapping weapons. And it's better than going into the menu proper to select a more appropriate spell

The only reason I play Skyrim over other games or Morrowind is just the graphics. Literally the only reason. You can make skyrim look really pretty and homely. I especially like "warm" enbs because walking down a dirt road in the forrest in the warm summer air is just too damn comfy. Or hanging out on the beach of a lake staring off into the sunset after spending the whole day adventuring is just the best feeling.
But then adventuring isn't actually fun, the combat is shit, loot is pointless, and even mods that try to fix these problems feel wonky and dumb because they're just basically overlays.

Then you come to /tesg/ and its just "my pretty girl is the best pretty girl" and you start to feel sad.

You never need alpha (A) with skin maps. In addition, Texture Optimizer makes cleaner mipmaps/compression than Nvidia or GIMP, so use that for any compressing or mipmap generation.

Personally with skin textures I never compress them; the artifacting and discoloration. becomes far too apparent. So I'll export a texture uncompressed, no alpha, then put it through Texture Optimizer with only mipmaps enabled.

I got pic related for $25. If you ask me, you should try asking amateur artists first before asking famous pros, because it's pretty common for people who commisioned an artwork for the first time like yours truly a few months ago to not know exactly what kind of artwork that they want to get.

Often times, this would mean paying lots of dough for artworks that aren't really worth the price. Also, I recommend not paying more than $60 for an artwork.

Absolutely.
Get SKSE, SkyUI, Mod Organizer before you download any other mods. Go browse through the ENB list on the OP site and find one you like, and install it manually.

From that point on, I'd recommend getting Skyrim Unbound, Vigilant, and some other cool quest mods, but since you seem to be focused on getting graphics, I use Noble Skyrim and Amidianborn textures with some Rustic Clothing thrown in there, but what you like is what you like. Look them up on the Nexus.

Skyrim CTDs after getting ENBoost, memory patch, tweaking ini files, using LOOT, cleaning with TES5edit, wrye bash and auto ghosting, using SGSC. Save file is only about 10.5mb after cleaning.

I normally try to keep my tech support shit contained to google searches and old forum posts but I've been messing with this for 3 days and no luck yet. I'm using a gtx750 and the game runs fine with HD texture packs, ultra settings, maybe a slight stutter when I first load an area, combat is typically smooth.

The only thing I haven't tried is just abandoning my save to try a new one and see what happens. If I'm playing FNV, that game will reliably crash between 1 and 2 hours into play, also heavily modded.

Anyone here know for a fix for skyrim? I doubt it. Anything vital will likely get remade pretty quickly. I have faith that most of the 'necessary' mods will get rebuilt. I'm more worried about something else that bethesda may do that prevents us from using what we already have, even with minor modifications. using havoc as an example, maybe they alter the new engine to the point that what we're currently using won't work at all, and we'll have to come up with something entirely new. this would be much harder than simply re-compiling our shit to be 64bit, which for most mods will be simple to do (if we even have to do it at all).

my biggest fear at this point is MO to be honest, I haven't heard of anyone talk about that getting updated (although havoc is another great one I never thought of either).

big changes take time, but in the end those changes are usually made for a good reason. ya it might take some work to get back to where we are, but once we get there, we'll be in a much better position to do shit.

it's not like the next tes game is coming out in a year, we're gonna have like almost another decade of modding this shit, people will do it.
