Fuck it dont care if it wasnt mastery. This was my best win on the bridge. Literally used a clutch defend to get Cloud to end up with more HP than Seifer on the regen to receive Yuna's last Curaja during AoE spam phase and finish with a final BSB. The fact it was only one medal off mastery was amazing considering I was 4 manning it at 50%.

The finale should be easier due to no fucking adds.

So i rolled shout (which i was aiming for) on my first round of pulls
should i continue? What's there in the future that's worth whaling over?

I've got one r3 Lifesiphon and most of the breakdowns made, but at r1 with my only 5* abilities currently being the powerchain and full charge that were handed out recently for the X event. Need some better RM too, was Josef's the other Mog's Teachings?

You get tons of gil just from doing explorations and selling excess mats and at the same time you can use some of those materials to craft shit for the crafting achievements. At the same time, you can also get exp for your FP units to awaken them while also getting trust bonuses. Sure you may not be getting that specific achievement as fast, but it's far more stamina efficient and will probably get you to the 30 achievements quicker overall.

Got it by switching Freya for Gilgamesh and doing creative Drawtaliating/RW Shouting.

The beginning of phase two is fucking brutal. Enkidu's Aoe hurts even after RES/Wall/Shell thanks to Gilgameah opening with gravity.

Fuck 1000 Needles. Caused me so many Goddam S/Ls thanks to him simulcasting it with Enkidu AoE. Not even Regen kept up with that at times.

I only got one 9 relic and one sword for 8 with generic SB, did get Quistis SSB a while ago and a random SB for the other girl and one generic SB helmet(granted, that one gives Protect to everyone so it's good) and two throw weapons, for 5 got just Air Knife and what I got today, got literally nothing for 4 except for Edge's katana, Celes and Terra's SSB and Kefka's "harp" are my only 6 relics, 6* Tifa's and a few other relics for 7, Brotherhood and Auron's sword for 10, Vaan's katana is the only thing I got for 12, nothing for 14, 1, 2, 3
And again, FFT dungeons aren't in the game yet so my FFT gear(Shout, Tailwind and both of Agrias relics) is kinda useless

level cap that unit, then in the unit sub-menu choose Awake Units, then select the unit and awaken it... just remember that you need materials for that AND not every unit can be upgraded to 5*/6*.

Awakening a character is what upgrades the rarity. Awakening cap depends only on the character, not what rarity you pulled. So Zidane is a 3-5* character, you can pull him as 3* and awaken to 5* or pull as 4 and awaken to 5 or just pull as 5

Wanted Edea or Agrias, but got Basch and Lenna. I got Aerith's Planet Protector last banner and I've been sitting on Thyrus and Sentinel Grimoire, so I'm set for clearing content.

If I fail to get SG on the next banner, then I'll have to cobble together Yuffie's Clear Tranquil, Aerith's Planet Protector, and Edea's Inaugural Parade and then RW a Wall to bring the Trinity together.

Try to keep this info out of reddit's hand, but I think I discovered something about Ace Striker vs +DMG RMs.

The common wisdom is to always use +DMG (or +ATK if below soft cap) because the damage loss per attack is too much to be compensated by an extra SB use. The math supports this pretty clearly.

However, as an owner of Stormborn for Lightning, I ran into this dilemma: without AS, I have only enough SB built from Lifesiphon to use two SBs. This means that Stormborn is useless because it deals no damage and only increases the next Crushing Blow by +80% damage, which is obviously worse than casting a normal, unboosted Crushing Blow twice.

Do I abandon Stormborn? I did until I ran some numbers and observed that Ace Striker can reasonably allow for 3 SB uses with the same number of LS uses as the +DMG setup. This means I can take an extra turn to use Stormborn for two EnThunder Crushing Blows.

Do two EnThunder Crushing Blows exceed the damage of two +20% damage Crushing Blows (and the extra damage LS uses)?

Yes. The following sequence:
LS*6, Powerchain, Stormborn, Powerchain, Crushing Blow, Powerchain Crushing Blow has total potency 4020.

The normal sequence:
LS*6, Powerchain, Crushing Blow, Powerchain, Crushing Blow has potency 3336 with +20% DMG.

So assuming you hit soft cap and have an EnElement SB, AS+LS is better than +20%DMG. Under soft cap, the +20%ATK RM is always the best choice.

Because Caius can't be killed without killing Etro, which releases Chaos into the world. That is incidentally what Caius was trying to do all along so whether he lives or dies, he'll reach his ultimate goal anyway. The game hammers the fact that you can't win in pretty hard. It's just that unlike most game (or media in general), it actually had the balls to go through with it instead of having the group win against impossible odds through some miraculous asspull. Cecil - one of the best tanks in the game - 6* potential

CoD - great phys attacker with amazing element resists - 6* potential

Bartz - great phys attacker - 6* potential

Firion - same as Bartz, can equip almost whatever the fuck he wants - 6* potential

Vaan - only unit in global right now with Full Break

Zidane - one of the best TMs in the whole game, arguably the best TM

You could pull 1-3 times just to form a team if you want, but the best thing to do is save for rate up banners on units that you want and also spend your lapis on increasing your friend list and inventory capacity

There are some units that have very good TMs even tho they are not very good (Zidane, Luna, Shantotto, etc) so it's always good to keep this in mind too.
