If both teams manage to finish the map as attack or successfully defend second point on point capture maps, a coin is flipped and one of the teams has 2 minutes to cap first point/push the cart to first point.
On 99% maps that team has a GIANT advantage over the other team. While point captures are mostly salvageable, payloads are not.
So it's a coin flip loss 90% of the time if you don't end up on attack, as defenders are severely disadvantaged on first point pretty much everywhere.

Armor reduces the amount of damage taken per bullet by half, up to 5. So a point blank McCree shot does 65, Tracers ult does 395, D. Va Ult does 995, but since Reaper has 20 bullets at 9 each, each bullet does 4.5, halving his damage.

I get so worked up and end up just slowly escalating "that's annoying" "irritating" until I'm yelling. overall career averages won't really be changed much if you switch classes a lot

i mean, if you main support, your dmg and elim averages will suck. if you never play support, your heal average will suck. if you play both semi evenly, they'll probably both be lower than someone who specifically plays dps/specifically plays support. averages are just totals over games played, so if you play one game of mercy in 50 then it's gonna be like 10000 heals divided by 50 which is fucking garbage, but it was one game so what can you do right

Participating in a mid standoff and/or enabling them with heals and shit just doesn't work. It never wins games. Dota is always about farm and objectives. I had 2 excellent games where I didn't get cocky and die a lot, ending at like 20+ elims, 1-2 deaths and over 15k healing and gold objective time.
Top objective time was like 6 minutes.

But in most games I had like 20-15 KD because I got cocky, wallrided into shit to punch out that low hp Rein/Reaper/Mercy and died like a rag or just straight out fucked up payload dancing.

So I'm an average player and my rating is well deserved, which is no surprise to me.

The ranks will spread out over the course of the season, the better players will move up towards 100, the worse players will move down towards 1. It places everyone in the middle of the bell curve to start and lets them progress naturally toward their true MMR because otherwise high level players wouldn't get to 'progress' and low level players would feel like shit that they placed at rank 15
