It feels extremely hit and miss on whether I get them or not, regardless of the amount of combos I get. Hell, even getting to 5 sessions doesn't seem to matter, it's frustrating when I'm grinding for weapons that only every 4th or 5th battle is giving me 1 single 3 star prestige

They're pretty common in the second half of the game once you unlock those support character skills that affect drops. You can regularly get a handful of them in a single battle and will usually get at least one. Every session hit above two is another chance for one or even two to drop.

In Gensou 106, the one with the mannequins, I forget on which floor, but there's an area where an orange mannequin will have one of its arms go up to an empty little corner with nothing in it but one of those sealed doors Itsuki can't break(yet), the entire floor is bright orange/yellow, rare enemies spawn very frequently there, even if you don't use any field skills. So you can grind out a lot of 5th element enemies there.

You know how the trick of the puzzle is you have to go to the room corresponding to the tv monitor that has the boss picture on it? One of the monitors will show a treasure chest, and it sometimes goes to the top left, when it does that, go to it and it'll send you to the area you need to go to.

Teleport to the 6th floor, walk past the orange mannequin to the position selector, click the middle button, and enter the sleeve. If no rare enemy shows up and you get a normal/ savage instead , just wait on the carpet by the sleeve and the mirage will disappear. After it's gone, run around a little bit and a rare should spawn.

Master seals are limited (outside of arena abuse/lottery) but you can switch back and forth between your promotions if you use them on a character who has promoted. You only really need to go into a class once though to unlock their carnages, so constant switching isn't worth it.

The original scripts for the Paper Mario games, for instance, are dry and generic as can be. Meanwhile, the English versions take great liberties, but are far better fitting and fun for it. Well they didn't even include the P part in the localization. Like her Japanese name is TikiIsMyWifeP or TikiWaifuP, but the English is changed to TikiIsMyWaifu and shorthanded as Tiki=Waifu. There's also the scene in chapter 5 where you see Dark Yashiro on the tv, and Yashiro is annoyed by the way he said "boku" instead of what he usually says, but in the localization the text reads him as being confused by the phrase "ta-ta" instead, but I'm more forgiving of that since you can't really translate the different versions of referring to yourself into English.

It's actually extremely round a bout from what I remember.

You need to trade 12 times, then the Mirage will actually have a request for you. You go to fight some enemy Mirage in Daitama, then go back to the Mirage in the Arena, and he'll give you the Performa required to craft the lockpick radiant skill. I'm pretty sure that's how it works

Ad Lib performances always trigger sessions.
By the end of the game Sessions are like 7 characters long and their animations have gotten even longer because they've been powered up.
Also the arena is 5 waves of monsters that you have to fully kill before the next wave shows up, so you sessions are completely worthless if the enemies are dead anyway cause the next ones won't spawn until you are done.

as for 5th Element, someone mentioned it here that you can farm them in the 106 Idolasphere.
Teleport to the 6th floor, hit the middle switch for the orange doll, or whichever one makes one of the arms go to the highest floor, a small little area. Very common to find them there, I used the skill that attracts enemies and walked around and spawned a lot of them.

as far as I know, there is no direct modding, you just dump files onto an SD card and its all done there. You do have to shut down automatic updates just in case.
If its worth it is up to your tastes, I was able to power through Chapter 2's weirdness and I like the silly costume changes there so I dont mind playing vanilla, but if that bugs you a lot it might be worth restoring.
