It's difficult to give universal advice since every opponent requires different tactics. A fast opponent requires a lot of early removal burning while slower ones afford a bit of hoarding for load, although gaining tempo with cheap dogs and an animal companion can be valuable. Against freeze you want to play like a face hunter and get as much damage in as possible. Try to adjust your deck to the meta if you find yourself stuck with dead or ineffective cards. Hold onto the cheaper cards for load and save thaurissan when you have the coin or are facing a slower opponent. Try to get value out of removal which might mean ignoring weak minions on the board for a turn. Yogg and load requires thinking one step ahead constantly and being well attuned to the decks you're facing.

One of my favorite combos to play in yogg n load is hounds/infest. Sure it's a turn 5 min play but the value when it works out is amazing especially when you get a snake trap off the turn before.

Most of the "old" players are leaving. This is how my friend-list looks like. All of them are from /hsg/ and I was not logged in for past two weeks until today. Blizzard have no idea how to fix this game. all these nerfs to card which limited design space were useless because they just printed new ones with same issues. For example thanks to N'Zoth they cant print any good death-rattle cards for next two years. Wild will never be balanced. Only thing they consistently add is more rng which is just infuriating. However the thing which I hate most is the lack of any counter-play. Also no communication from Blizzard other then from Brode is really disheartening.

It actually worked really well. They key is to fight for board control as early as you can. Once a Priest gets board control, the opponent has a VERY hard time coming back on the board. I'm going to try to make a Standard version of it.

for all intents and purposes Divine Shield means 1 extra HP in arena, since most people pick classes that have a ping (Rogue, Mage) or can generate them through board (Paladin, Shaman if lucky).

Yeah, Divine Shield means unlimited HP, but that's not always the case and you need to think that most 3-drops can get cleared easily if played on curve. You need to always think what value can you get out of the worst case scenario.

In the worst case Harvest Golem is a 2/3, that will spawn a 2/1, so you will most likely make your opponent waste 3 damage and the board state won't change that much. Even if he clears the 2/1 he has wasted another 1 damage and received 2.
The worst case for Scarlet Crusader is getting pinged by hero power and then traded by a 1 damage minion. If played on tempo, she won't have the 4 health that Harvest Golem has, worst case she has 2 HP and maybe 3 HP, so Stat-Wise Harvest golem wins. The effect she had on board was none if you were losing or staying equal, since if you play her on turn 3, your opponent (his turn 4) would have used his 2-3 Drop to trade and hero powered if possible, allowing him to use another 2-drop.

The effect Harvest Golem has on board is better on early turns, since your opponent has to trade his 2-3 drop and you get the chance to trade for another minion, probably even threatening his 4-drop.

Overall, in 75% of the cases Harvest Golem is the better card for arena. Scarlet Crusader is good if you have a good advantage on board and you want to threaten his 4 drop, which range from 3 HP to 5 HP, allowing you to use a 2-Drop and Scarlet Crusader to kill it + maintaining a 3/1 body, but that's just an specific case.

arena matchmaking is inherently broken
If I am regularly pulling near 70% winrate, that is not fun. Those are not fair fights. I am being matched with people less skilled than I am just so I can stomp them. How does that make any sense? How can I take pleasure in that? Even casual has MMR; arena is just degenerate.
To an extent I can just play during NEET hours when anyone with a life is out living and I get to queue against other tryhards, but that's a very finicky solution. Makes the game much less convenient.

I love Jeweled Scarab in arena because not only it allows you to pick a card according to the current game state, it also gives you a very decent chance at a good class card such as a spell or weapon, which are scarce in arena.

Just like all the other 2 drops with secondary effects and curve stats are op am I right :^)

Owl was only problematic because it was neutral, class cards can have powerful effects like this with decent stats.

Over half the time it will be played for tempo and when you do come to silence something a 2/3 that late in the game doesn't accomplish much.

Silence in priest is bad to begin with, they never ran it before even in reno decks, they have outright removal for almost everything and entomb silences too, it's not like anyone would play it.
