I'm not convinced it's even going to go in that direction honestly, the only argument for it would be that it kind of sort of happened in KR but I struggle to see how they'd realize a conflict in the monster realm AND a fight against Ludo all in a single game while simultaneously tying up most/all of the loose ends.

The only way I see that happening is due to Rance conquering the monster realm and Planner wanting to stir shit up again, which is more likely to happen in a Magnum-esque expansion than anything else due to the sheer amount of information that they would need to drop to not alienate people who haven't been playing the games for more than 15 years.

There has, after all, been very little mention of Planner and Ludo in recent games and Alicesoft has gravitated more towards ALICE as being the primary divine figure (then again, I can sort of see Rance wanting to bone ALICE and going so far as to challenge Ludo to do it...)

That seems pointless speculation, Planner has been using a "wait and see" policy for a long time now (even considering Rance himself) and the demons haven't done much of anything (there wasn't any kind of demonic impetus on all of Rance IX for example) in recent times beyond the occasional splinter groups messing with shit (Xavier, hornet castoffs etc)

The only really notable monster related event would be the invasion of Zeth but since then humans have shown time and again that they're capable of creating interesting conflict all on their own, with or without demonic involvement, so there's no real reason for Planner to get involved even if the demons get wiped.
