Ive been playing cs for years. Quit for 8 months and came back a few months ago. Ive only recently started playing with full 5 man teams, and have started playing cevo with a buddy.

Im just starting to get into the competitive side more, but I dont feel I'm improving (especially with all the hackers/smurfs)

Its been really discouraging and has made me start to gravitate away from the game. I love CS and don't want to give it up. What can I do to improve, so I can actually begin to focus on things in-game and get better.
