However Carmilla doesn't have this ability while Liz does, for the same reason that Vlad (Extra) does while Vlad (FGO) doesn't I'd say.

Carmilla is something of a fictitious rendering of Elizabeth Bathony who already fell to the path of a demon after her death, at least in part. The adult Bathony who became a monstrous being for revenge or something. She's already seen as a monster, rather than being a human who was normal and simply was seen as doing monstrous things that impacted upon their form upon being summoned. Vlad in Extra was just a man, but he was seen as a monster by his enemies in life, so it warped him a bit even though he was innately still a human. Vlad in FGO is entirely a monster now, so there's no need for him to have this skill. He's no longer simply a human who is being warped by mob belief, now he's just a vampire.

That's my current thought. There's probably any number of ways to look at it though.
