How should Genji be played? His throwing stars seem a bit finnicky since they do low damage and strafing causes them to spread.I'm also finding it very hard to hit agile people like Tracer, so I end up spamming right click. The blade dash seems a bit weak as well, doing very little damage, although it's an excellent move to trick your opponents or escape. The super takes 2 hits to kill a normal person and up to 4 to kill a Heavy like Roadhog, coupled with the low duration time just makes it very poor overall. I was left with a very poor opinion of Genji but when I watch pro teams like UW Artisan they always run one Genji, why? What am I doing wrong that they are doing right?

Genji's damage comes from the fact that he can reflect just about anything, so do that more.

She can't crit with the laser beam though, while plenty of other characters can and because of that have significantly higher DPS.

Incidentally, those characters tend to have enough DPS without critting to kill her when the bubble is on CD.

-Critbox moved to her back (or reduced in front)
-Damage drop-off increased only slightly (Like 3 or 4 meters)
-Rounds per minute increased (to say 10, work from there)
-shield needs an extra 20-30 degrees or so on either side
-Boost duration increased or cooldown decreased 1 second
-Ability to leave mech at will (Turns it into a glorified barrier. She still has to wait for her ult to get a new one) + pistol damage nerfed slightly

Pick two and she's already much better

oh heros with guns yeah, you basically have to treat guns like lasers, spray and pray is also something a lot of people don't do much and often miss on a lot of possible dmg, as long as you know your position is already compromised tho.
You also need to keep in mind optimal + falloff, so you actually do proper dmg.

On heroes with missiles and bombs you need to know the velocity, arch and rate if fire of your gun to git gud, and the crosshair is secondary,

I'm by no means an expert, but what I know is that any attack that hits once for a lot of damage is better against armor than things that hit a lot for low damage, because armor cuts any damage in half, but not if the cut damage would amount to more than 5 damage.
Pharah's missile is probably better than Reaper's shotgun, and Winston's damage is rendered a light breeze.

How do I git gud as Zenyatta?

He's one of my lowest played because I haven't found a way to stand his piddly 150 HP and near-zero mobility. Mercy has more HP, more mobility, more healing, and her ult tends to be more of a game-changer, but I've seen Zenyatta blow people up with his orbs.

Don't get ballsy and stick to the front, you'll get blasted to the moon like that. But don't stick the back either, where a Reaper or Tracer can just slap you to death with no one noticing.

A nice medium while the team pushes is important, so you aren't an obvious target of anyone in particular. Also get good at dodging stray shots that your buddies dodged.

Stay far behind. Your shield is a powerful survival tool. Your orbs have no damage falloff, meaning you should stay at max range and melt tanks or other enemies from that distance.

When worse comes to worse, do what Symmetra does, and tank at face range. Run through enemies, having discorded them.
