I think it's more likely those players simply forgot what they actually queued up as.

It's also possible that Riot balances how many players on each team get their primary and secondary role to be fair. If blue team can't get a team together without having 3 secondary roles, then it makes sure red team also has 3 players off their main role. I'd imagine they might even factor in which roles matter more if the difference between the mid being a secondary player vs. support being a secondary player is found to be statistically significant.

You just need one person in your premade to get an S- or better, it doesn't have to be you. All you need to do is queue up with friends.

You can even just lurk for games in /vg/ chat and if you get a premade of 3 or more then your odds of someone getting a good grade are really high.

I love when my team is full of pussies with no presence and I have to frontline as someone like Azir or Kog'Maw.

A team with no presence gets nothing done, and I'm unwilling to be a part of the team that does this. Not only do I frontline for my team because playing like a pussy is embarrassing, but because the enemy team gets free objectives.

I'm a gold shitter and tanks have absolutely 0 presence in this elo. I play almost exclusively squishy champions and I'm the frontline for my team every single game.

It's not a meme. He's being played competitively mid by China and KR as a niche pick.

The problem is that outside of competitive it's not a robust pick. Often your teamcomp won't be built around you like a competitive team, your damage types won't be well distributed (Varus mid is often paired with AP junglers and/or tops), and it's obviously very different playing him mid.

The problems get worse since you're as immobile as it gets, your peel is pretty bad apart from your ult, and bonus pen from the new last whisper is garbage for poking squishies. Flat pen items are alright, but the old last whisper was great on him.

Last thing that's pretty important is that the opposing laner is almost always gonna have kill pressure on you just from how mages power curves work and you basically have to deal with it until you can play the poke game which is all you're good for. Champs like LB or Fizz (ontop of raping you) can roam all the time and you basically can't follow them unless you have good vision.

You're not really gonna have a good time with him unless you decide to become the Varus only normies master.

Don't smite after you see the number go below your smite value, count how much damage you can do with abilities as you smite and use that together to create a higher smite value. Unless you're desperate just back off and spam ping to back off if you're not sure. Ofc it's gonna get stolen if you just do it in front of their jungler in range. I've been playing since season 1-2.

Season 5-6 are the best ones so far.
Map overhaul, all new champions are absolutely amazing from a gameplay and design point of view, balance is a lot better than in the past.
The only thing i am unhappy about is the fact there's still those 10 champions absolutely no one plays and those 10 champions everyone plays.
Except from that, me and my friends are having a lot more fun now than in the past.

Right now she functions far better as an assassin than a carry, because her range and damage output potential in a team fight is kind of shit compared to almost every marksman.
