It's worth it if you're lvl 45+. You can get swords and armor worth 700+ crowns a piece, 1000 if you're lucky.

I think Oxenfurt is my single favorite area in the entire game, but I don't know if it's because I enjoy Tudor architecture or just because it's the first real non-shithole area in the game.

Can people help a nigga out?

I got both DLC's for witcher 3 and the game "congratulated" me from them already when I started a fresh save. I've played like 40 hours now and finished Hearts of Stone expansion.

I am wishing to start the Blood and Wine expansion but the problem is, I never got the mission "Envoys, Wineboys". There is no letters from toussant in my inventory or anything
What the fuck does this mean and how do I fix this shit?

Under what subcategory of missions should the quest be, because I've checked through them all one by one and I cant find the quest

This day has been just a clusterfug of bugs and glitches, first the fucking immortal peasants in "Without a Trace" quest, camera stuck in geralt's ass and every character in the game, including geralt, levitating and walking in the air in a permanent squat.
Didnt have a single bug in +50 hours of gameplay before the DLC's were out...

The only thing you miss out on is an epilogue at the end of B&W. Only if you haven't rescued Ciri and defeated the Wild Hunt, etc. You just need to get an ending in the base game.

You can save dandelion without any missions failing. The only thing that may fail is Cabaret if you get too far into B&W, I'm not sure though. Just do it to be safe.

I really like witcher 3 so far, The finishers are fun, the combat is decent, I feel like Signs, oils and potions are way more of an essential combat tool than they were before but bloody hell the open world is all kinds of fucked up.

I'm starting out doing quests in Velen and right of the Bat the contracts are all over the place. I started as level 5 and some of the contracts are 14 and such. But no biggie, I'll do other quests in the meantime, occupy myself, explore the world. hey there's an outpost full of lvl 22 enemies, Guess I'll keep this for later. Now I'm level 17 and behind those high level enemies I've found quests for level 7... So I ended up killing a Wyvern in 3 fast hits.

I'm loving this game but I can't help but feel that it might have benefited from a slightly more linear approach, at leasts for the qeuests. Same with the undiscovered locations. I wanted to do them quite early, but was discouraged from exploring them all by some (for me back then) very high level enemies plopping up around some of them.

There's no reward to challenging yourself fighting higher level enemies either, since loot will be scaled down.

There's a level scaling mod on nexus...recommend using that on later playthroughs so you can do stuff like going to Skellige once out of white orchard.

"Ok this and everything around is level 5. this other area and around is level 10, and next to that everything is around level 15" That way a player can look around in that area, knowing that he's in the right spot and you minimize the chance of the player missing low level quests giving him later a bad feeling for completing something with another EXP penalty because it was so tucked away he out leveled it before finding it.

It's done. I beat it all now. Yennefer came and moved in with me at the end. I made a save. As long as I keep this save file, I can always go visit her in just the short time it takes to load up the game.

Witcher 2, i dunno. The combat's tedious in the beginning but the leveling balance is fucked up. As you go deeper in the talent trees, you become exponentially powerful (similar problem in TW3)

Witcher 1 is a slog until you finish chapter 2. Abuse the fuck out of group style, basically any fight with 3+ targets should be you hitting the weakest enemy and you'll crit (called "Precise Hit") everything else to death in 3 swings.

Witcher 2 combat is irritating mainly because of it's unpredictability, especially cos of that fucking spinny attack that ends up getting you killed most of the time.

For either, I don't think anyone would blame you for lowering the difficulty, but you can get through on the highest difficulties with little issue provided you're not retarded.

Just finished Witcher 1, great game after you get used to how clunky it is.

Moving on to Witcher 2 I instantly installed a FOV mod. Can't believe anyone would bear the way it is on default. Anyway while browsing through the mods list I saw a ton of mods increasing skill points. Do you actually get enough skill points or do you need these mods? Anything else I should install or watch out for? Really worrying about this stuff because I don't want to gimp my first playthrough.

You can easily get enough skill points provided you're not retarded and don't pick up pointless skills. If you go for the standard Impregnation into swords build you can destroy pretty much everything with ease (I one shot the Operator).

If you're playing on Dark Mode, get the mod that removes the shitty dark effect from the swords (just make sure it's the latest one made with the mod kit so it doesn't actually remove the vitality drain from them).

You might wanna try the combat rebalance mod, but I've never touched it and just kinda got used to the input delay, it's only really act 1 that's remotely a challenge.
