Dariusburst looks kinda boring to me - well, compared to most good bullet hell shooters that is. Especially from cave. The music lacks variety, the backgrounds are plain boring and the bullet patterns are a joke. They should just release Mushihimesama and Deathsmiles to the PS4 and sell this for 10$ instead of 60$ (EU price).

I've vastly improved and do well except in the unlikely event that I get all melee weapons. I regularly make it to the stage before the final boss but I'm still working on that one.

If you like Raiden, I can recommend Wolflame and Deltazeal. Wolflame feels almost exactly like Raiden 1 but a little easier on the player. Deltazeal is a bit further away, but something about it makes me think Raiden.

Lots of repetition though for sure. But AC mode doesn't cover all content alone. Chronicle mode has lots of unique levels, music and bosses in it and so does CS mode.

Move slightly to the side when their second attack is coming at you and you should slip through. It might take a bit to get used to but once you do you should be about to do it consistently.

It was also supposed to be Darius III at first, but they thought it was too dark. As far as I'm concerned, the darkness or more likely the dark/bleak stories and endings are part of what makes Darius so great, so they could've went ahead.

I struggle with the final level in Deathsmiles myself in Death Mode, and I just plain can't compete with the Extra stage. I really need to get back to that game...

Anyways, I'm not really sure what would be easier though with that criteria. I don't own many shmups on Steam but I think generally different modes tend to have varying difficulty, and Deathsmiles has gotta be one of the easier ones to play for simple survival.

Finally found a good software to record while emulating without crippling my framerate. Bandicam is much better than Fraps.

Now if only I knew how to get rid of that stage 5 graphic bug in the background... The only way I found so far is to run the game in software mode, but this is far too performance demanding.

1) The aim reticle acts like an anchor with screen x and y positions so moving your player makes you turn towards wherever the aim is.
2) The aim reticle has an origin at the player x,y and a maximum distance it can move from the player so when you move yourself the current aim position follows with you
3) Hard lock onto nearest target and flicking left or right on aim stick just cycles through the targets
4) No aiming other than hitting what is in front of you. Movement is either just to align your shot or to dodge.
