Is Dragon Age Inquisition any good? Loved the first one, probably because it reminded of old black isle stuff, 2nd was awful.

Game is awesome. Yes, its linear. The levelling up is also straight forward. Story was okayish, i didnt really care for it.

But the combat system, is, probably the best i played to this day. I platted the game in 100 hours back in the day. Some of the end game content was challenging.

A friend of mine brought Battleborn over by mistake (wrong game in the case) and just left it behind like litter. So I popped it in and it's pretty fun.
The biggest problem I have with it is that I can't talk about it anywhere. If I talk about it on /v/ I get accused of shilling and get told to go back to /r/battleborn. So I went to reddit (my first non-porn related visit ever) and it's such an annoying hug box that you can't even admit that the game has problems and Gearbox might be up to something scummy sometimes without massive backlash that would make /v/ blush.

I'm just frustrated, because I do enjoy the game it's just almost everything related to it is shit.

Disgaea's been on my list actually. Never played a single game in the series but I enjoyed FFTA and classic FE.
As for Valkyria Chronicles, I've never played it. I hate WW2 settings in games, but the anime artstyle might change my mind. Is it worth the purchase if I don't enjoy "modern war"? I vastly prefer the old swords and magic style of JRPG/SRPG.

Valkyria Chronicles has its magic mixed it. The actual valkyrias are crazy. It's worth a punt just because it's a very different sort of SRPG, uses a weird hybrid real time system and is pretty cheap.

It's one of my favourite games of all time because it appeals to me so specifically, but I'll give you a balanced view of it.

The main appeal is the freedom of movement, how satisfying it feels to fly around from place to place both for traversal and combat. The combat itself is cool, but does suffer from balance issues that mean some moves are less viable than others so its easy to get used to using the strongest stuff repeatedly. How much this bothers you will vary.

The setting is really fucking neat too and is basically a city built into the side of a gigantic pillar, meaning there's very little land, so the architecture on it is very vertical and you'll often find crevices and tight paths. As someone who loves exploring uniquely designed worlds, it's one of my favourites, and the vertical design and fantasy-sci-fi feel is really nice.

The story/cast are similarly cool, Kat is lovely and the story has that fantasy-sci-fi element to it with gravity playing a part in it, but the game does suffer from basically ending as soon as it's gotten started. Without spoiling too much, the game is a little short, and kind of just ends after building up the cast and setting - it starts us off, raises questions, then finishes. Of course, the sequel is a direct continuation so it'll answer those questions, but yeah.

The music is AMAZING. If you've ever watched Gunbuster and Diebuster, it's by the same guy who did the OSTs for those and is some of my favourite soundtrack work ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zEeJ2X0uFg

tl;dr - Satisfying movement, a unique and well designed setting and cool story/cast and amazing music, but does suffer from the issues a lot of new IPs do - being short, not going enough places with its story, combat option imbalances leading to specific attacks being simply way better. But those issues shouldn't be enough to make you skip the game, especially since Remastered was a budget release.

Is nobody playing Future Tone? I got a standard on Meltdown on extreme, and that put me in the top 50 on the leaderboard.

Any racing game recommendations? Table Top Racing is fun, but it's not entirely satisfying, and Drive Club is alright but I don't really like the more realistic side of racing. PS3 games more than welcome, too.
