Cordelia was god-tier as a Pegasus too. Their problem in Awakening is that you actually hit the caps in Awakening, and Falcon Knight's caps were very low.

It's hard to judge them since before FE11 stats were more about the individual unit rather than the classes they held and in FE11 Pegasus Knights promoted into Wyvern Lords, as the Wyvern Rider class didn't exist there. In FE12 they were tailored to be closer to Paladins than anything else. I feel they should be closer to Paladins in Fates too

The thing is the Class's base stats. Most of their class growths is wasted on Luck of all things (20% growth in luck and 0% in HP and Def)

In Fates:
Sky Knights has 3 in Str as a base and Falcos have 5.
Samurai have 4 and Swordmasters have 6. Cavalier has 6, Paladin has 8.
Falcos only have 1 Str above maid.

You'd think they make up with speed? Falcos at base 10 speed are only 3 Points above Paladins, 2 points above in speed than Heroes, 1 point to Bow Knights and they Lose by 1 point to Swordmasters too.

Sky Knights have 2 defense and Falcos have 5 defense. Believe it or not, this is actually average in Hoshidan classes, but that's because they're mostly terrible. Spear Fighters have 5 and Masters/Basaras have 7, Snipers have 6 def.
Nohrian classes shit all over them in defense, though Cavaliers/Mercs have 5 and Paladins/Heroes have 7, and these are the lower defenses within the Nohrain frontline. Wyvern Rider has 7 def and Lord has 10 def.

They do have a lot of Res, Skys have 6 and Falcos have 9, the highest of all classes. Sadly magic enemies are not very present.

8 unrestricted movement and a whooping E rank in staves doesn't make up, in my eyes. These are meant to be front liners.
