Asugi paired up with Shiro can one round Ryoma with the Silver Shuriken. I use Asugi as a backpack for Shiro but that's his one time to shine, then the stat drops are inconsequential given that he can just be a backpack immediately after. Then you just Rescue him back to safety. Now I gotta figure out who can safely fight or at least bait/survive Saizo and Kaze.
