There's the mandatory two year gap between the end of the war and Naruto and Hinata getting together, because otherwise Kishi would have suffered a heart attack.
These are pretty certainly his influence, and other stuff you can guess at, like the film not being just a regular story, but one with Moonman and needless, retarded drama rather than something more inherent to the actual characters.

I kind of prefer The World's Greatest Chuunin Exam Team fanfic to the Last, both for a small post-war story and as to how Naruto and Hinata really hit it off.

Kaguya Backstory: Actually turned a boss fight into a character

Anime team also did a lot of really great stuff with Orochimaru back when he was healing her from the Madara fight. There's this flashback to the 2nd War that made Orochimaru seem more human than Sasuke did, at the time, in which Tsunade and Orochimaru debate over whether or not to allow Jiraiya to die or not (with the later actually managing some very logical arguments in his favor). Tsunade, present day, comments on the fact that Jiraiya probably never lost faith in him up until his final moment. The entire thing really underlies the fact that much of what Orochimaru does is done not because of any inherent sadism on his part but due to his unflinching level of pragmatism, hinted at even as early as the 2nd War, while making it appear as if he actually gives a shit about teammates deep down.

I don't understand the meme that surrounds the dissing of Fugaku (even before Shinden went and portrayed him as a conflicted person, and a good father, forced into the Uchiha Coupe due to the interests of his clan, who literally died rather then get into a death match with his son). From what I recall, his worst crime lay in not being impressed by Sasuke, when he had already seen it all by having a genius of an elder son.

Hiashi's least prominent crime is that he was physically abusive towards the child of his that he actually liked; take a look at the amount of blood in that panel. Only Rasa is really worse than him, because while he didn't actively attempt to murder his children, he couldn't have cared less whether someone else did and much like Rasa appeared to view them as little more tools and as an extension of his own self esteem.

Chiyo revived Gaara by sealing a sliver of her own soul within his corpse. That would mean that Gaara may not be Gaara anymore; but a whole new person with his memories and the real Gaara is chilling in the Pure Land with his mother.

I like to think Hiashi had some really deep seated problems about being weak and disorganised enough that the Cloud almost got away with Hinata, and that his brother had to die because of it. He'd try to toughen her up any way he could, failing to realise what the poor girl needed was some comfort and gentle help, not the Iron Will stuff - that ought to have come later.

Still, that' not to say he was heartless, and he even succeeded in a way - Hinata remained soft-hearted and kind despite whatever he threw at her for the sake of the clan, showing strength and a constitution of self in the worst possible way. Making her a genin, making it clear that it's sink or swim from here on out, hoping she'll at least grow a spine, did let her develop out there on missions at the very least, not whither away, training fruitlessly in the clan compound.

Ultimately I do agree that he's not very good as a father, but perhaps in time he did come to realise his mistakes, and even if late, tried to be a better father for Hanabi, as well as for Hinata's late teens and twenties.
And then spoiled the fuck out of Bort and Himawari, being the best fucking grandfather he could be, which, while made his daughter happy, it also had her butthurt that he couldn't be like that for her.

Really, there's a lot of potential ways you could develop the characater, and being one of very few parents of the Konoha rookies still kicking, he could have been better and more often used.

I’ve seen that person all over tumblr and I don’t reblog their stuff because, it’s not really theirs? And I never see any proof of permission to translate the work. I saw too that they got a patreon and I would like to think the funds go to buying doujins so they can translate them and support the artist, but without any proof of permission to even be translating it still makes me wary and uncomfortable to think they’re profiting off of what is someone else’s work. And they accept commissions for translating, which I’ve asked artist support blogs about before, and they didn’t seem to think it was okay either.

This is close to my own perspective. There comes a point where I can no longer afford give free labor, but I don't want to hide everything behind a paywall because the whole reason I started doing this was to let others enjoy good fanart without having to study Japanese for years and years. Since not everyone can afford commissions, even at my prices, which are about five times less than the market average, I thought the "pay a little bit and get early access or just wait" was a decent compromise, but evidently some see supporting the labor of translation as ill gotten profit from others' art, even though doujin artists themselves are profiting off of the intellectual property of Kishimoto and have not received permission from him or Shueisha.

I would've liked Madara to remain NON-Jinchuuriki, but continued to fuck everybody up regardless. I feel like it would've been magnificent seeing Sasuke and Naruto be handed God powers personally by Hagoromo, only for Madara to go full Dark Knight Rises and shatter them as a mere human.

It sort of made sense that Madara could do it. Like, by that point, he was shown to be the second strongest person on the planet, with a demon's strength and a willpower to match. It simply hammered home how off-the-charts his power was, and why it made such a big deal that Hashirama was finally able to put him in the ground (temporarily).

But yeah, I agree that like a mid-teens Obito could suddenly have the exact same level of control. Although, that being said, Madara seemed to have stronger control over Kurama than Obito did, since Obito pretty much pointed Kurama at Konoha and said "Aiight, have at it" and then fought Minato.

We've probably been through this, but is Six Paths Sage Mode at all superior to frog Sage Mode? Excluding the unlimited use, no time constraints versus charged use (which Naruto bypassed with shadow clones anyway). It seemed to be just a general, all-around power up that was never specified but Naruto was able to sense things which he couldn't earlier (Madara's shadow).

Been a while since I've read the manga but Naruto's lack of infinite use power-ups from Hagoromo vs. Sasuke's got me thinking.

Six Paths Sage Mode is the pinnacle of Naruto's forms. SPSM pretty much takes normal Sage Mode and kicks it up to 11. Stronger, faster, retains emotion sensing, gains Limbo Shadow sensing, no time constraint, can add Natural Energy to attacks easily, and I think something something Kurama.

Once Naruto learns Six Paths Sage Mode, there's literally no reason for him to be in normal Sage Mode, beyond not wanting to suddenly explode into blinding, flaming light. For regular sensing shit, normal Sage Mode does the trick without bringing too much attention to himself.

It would've been cool to have Naruto's Sage Mode be like Goku's Ascended Saiyan form, where Naruto can passively remain in Sage Mode as long as he wants, as his body absorbs Natural Energy faster than Sage Mode expends it, but that'd probably be an odd thing to do to his permanent design

yeah so it's basically just a general power-up. These are things I would expect Naruto to get from more practice with Sage Mode anyway.

Yes and no. If you watch the Boruto movie, he goes SPSM without a giant spewing chakra cloak, but his clothes still change and turn incandescent orange.

Kind of, but not really. Naruto has simply gotten to the stage where he can gather enough Natural Energy to go into Sage Mode in literally three seconds of standing still or so.

SPSM was worthwhile simply due to the god chakra it provided him. It gave him a solid way to attack Kaguya with jutsu. The worthwhile-ness was in the strength and speed it provided him.

Hinata and Hanabi don't have them because whichever is favourite for clanhead-ship, you need a male offspring to start a new branch family, but any new Branch family member roughly Kakashi's age would likely have to be Branch.

The Sharingan is powerful, but takes a lot out of Kakashi.
The Byakuan is far less directly strong, more like a practical and simply neat kekkei genkai with actual limits, but using it isn't AS taxing.
Suppose a duo of Kakashi and Whatshername would go to a mission together, there could be whatever humorous situation you wanted, with one chewing out the other for the other's weaknesses and so on.
