They've implemented some sort of system that matches you with people of similar rank, right? I'm rank 18 survivor and get a bunch of rank 20 level 3 teammates, but I'm a rank 13 killer despite not even being very good and I'm getting level 30 rank 13s everywhere.

With enough work and leveling multiple characters you can get the perks on anyone rendering it purely cosmetic, but it takes a lot of work.

It depends on what type of playing you like to prefer, but either way Meg and Claudette are the top two.

>Jake gets sabotage w/o toolbox
>Dwight gets buffs with teammates

So usually, it goes

Meg/Claudette ---> Jake ---> Dwight

Go with Meg then Claud if you have trouble escaping baddies, and Claud then Meg if you can disappear fine enough.

Dwight does have the POTENTIAL to be devastating, if there are multiple with the perk that speeds up gennies. But due to the nature of the game, this is almost never the case.

Killer is only easy if the survivors aren't of a similar mind. If they run in single file to save a hooked person, killer wins. If they all show up at once and once distracts while the others unhook and heal the guy, then you have trouble on your hands as a killer.

If they all work on generators and know to only mostly power them up and save the finishing touch for later, you're downright fucked.

Has anyone else played with this killer? I've had three matches with him so far, two of which were in a row. Basically, he's some shitty rank 20 with a bunch of ultra rare perks and items, and rq's within the first few minutes every match. I have no idea why or what the deal with him is, but it's becoming a pain in the ass. I looked up his profile and sure enough, he's some autistic MLP/Five Nights at Freddy's faggot.
Is it worth reporting him on the forums? Are we allowed to do that? I've screenshotted every match so I've definitely got a case.

So apparently bodyblocking is a real thing.

Just saw a match where a Rank 1 Killer hooked a survivor on Wraith, then just ding dong ding dong'd over and over while standing right on top of the body. Survivors ran up to him, and he didn't do anything to defend the body, he just stood there ringing his bell over and over and no one could physically get to the body to even attempt to pull them off the hook.

I get that by him doing this, it means the other three can get generators online, but it's still pretty fucking shitty that you can't even physically get to the body.

Being able to camp hooks is shitty, but it's also shitty play that results in a competent team winning in spite of the death of the victim.

Being able to body block the basement is fine, that's the primary advantage of the basement over other hooking locations. Maybe it should be widened a bit so it's possible with the right movement to get past, but it's fine as it is now.

Being able to bodyblock the hatch is meaningless because there are other ways to escape. If anything the hatch is overpowered in the survivors' favour and bodyblocking it is perfectly fair.

No, it's nonsense. I just had a game where the killer hooked someone in the basement almost immediately and wouldn't leave. Some people would just sit in a corner sucking their own dick if they could get enough points by doing the most minimal work and then escaping. Hence the 10k and why they nerfed the amount of points slightly since beta. In beta I got three gens adn was good, didn't have to do anything else. Now you have to do considerably more than that.
Maybe I'm not the most objective on the matter as I have Saboteur and can get a easy 1600(roughly) points whenever I want. It doesn't give a visual queue and most other people don't have the perk so hooks will always be available.

When there are 5 almost working gens around the map, there's no possible way to stop the survivors from tagging them left and right. Even if you do deduce where the last one is somehow, you'd have to keep your eyes on it 24/7 to prevent a touch, which they would be fixing the other two gennies with. And if you go patrol the other two gennies, that one gets tagged. Of course, that unlikely dilemma is once again removed if EVERY genny is nearly working rather than only 5.

It's ingenious, but requires coordination. Sometimes all you need to do is request it in chat before a match. It's a complete win once you decide to start tagging them all.

Is Wraith buggier than the other killers or something? This is almost three games in a row where I did something and then got frozen in place with no choice but to leave the game. Twice when I was picking somebody up, once when I was vaulting. This has never happened to me with the other killers.

I killed my first cheater a few moments ago.

Little bitch was jumping through windows for like 5 minutes. I eventually pretended to leave and successfully got a hit in while the fucker jumped through a window. Fell for it twice.
The second meg hits the floor she disconnected.
I got one on a hook within a minute into the game.
And one of them actually bled out because the team was effectively useless.

And for my final act, I looked around for closets with crows on them, and sure enough there they were. Finally hooked for the entity.

Just a reminder, cheating doesn't automatically make you good. It just makes you look like a piece of shit.

I feel kind of bad for Wraith's in general. Before I always freaked out, but after playing for a bit its so easy to see them coming and get to a juke spot. Flashlight stunning them longer is even better but I guess thats offset by the fact most people often don't start with a flashlight. Seems like they can get god-tier at higher level though with so many perks helping with tracking.

When it says a toolbox has X amount of charges, does it take like 50 or so charges to dismantle a hook? Or is it one? because if i use my toolbox all the way until it disappears, I lose it even if I survive. What I've been doing is dismantling one hook at the start, the use the remaining toolbox until there is a sliver left. And when I live I keep it and the next game it is full life again.

Why do people do this? I saved them and healed them countless times, the match went for ages because of how much I was somehow able to prolong their lives despite their constant fuck ups, they they spite me in the end?

Oh and the best part, despite dying I still had the most points. Shows just how useless they were.

Is it worth buying the game right now, or would it be better to wait for some patches first? It seems like from the thread there's some stuff missing currently.

Any idea how the DLC's gonna work? I saw the post where they said it won't be P2W, but everybody says that. Them being published by Starbreeze doesn't seem like a good sign.

The game is blatantly unfinished and rushed for E3, full of minor bugs and balance issues and what not. It's still lots of fun and worth the money but we'll see how it turns out and whether it reaches its potential.

As for DLC, I expect the Payday 2 model with paid killers and maps but anyone can play so long as the host has them.

In my experience, high ranked players are always the worst. They only got to that rank by playing dirty, using cheap tactics, and screwing over their teammates.
