If you want a minimalist modpack it'd be pretty easy to throw one together yourself.

Based on your requests I would suggest:
* Buildcraft
* MineFactory Reloaded
* Immibis' TubeStuff
* OptiFine (for shaders)
* Railcraft (This is almost not so minimalist, but you'll want at least SOME form of better powergen, and steam is a good one.)

I just saw some chocolate milk stuff when looking through the recipes in the better iventory thing and was confused. It also took me ages to find the pipes so I could check the recipes because of all the shit Tekkit has.

I've not played modded minecraft in years so I have no idea about individual mods. Back when I knew Buildcraft was new and Tekkit wasn't even a thing.

Do not do not do not ever try to find recipes by just browsing NEI. People will add 16000 variants of microblock cuts into it, and you will suffer.

There's a search box at the bottom of the screen - type in "pipe," it'll work out much better for you.

I need help with a redstone clock system

I'm using thaumcraft 5, and I've created a machine that can breed animals infinity. A lamp of fertility needs something called victus essentia to be powered. So I have water melons being broken down into essentia. My problem is seemingly simple but not at all. The lamp draws in essentia from any source it's connected to. However, it draws in essentia from the source of the breakdown first and then the jars. This means as long as there's fuel to break down essentia, the jars will go unused.

To save on fuel, I want to shut off the valves to have the essentia be stored, and then used when all the jars are filled. Then when the jars are empty, for the valve near the lamp to be shut and the valve near the furnace to be opened. This is where I need a redstone clock. The valves can be toggled on/off with a redstone signal.

I want a clock to turn the valve on the left side opened and the valve on the right side to be closed for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Then, I want the reverse to happen, the left valve to be closed and the right valve to be open for 7 minutes. After the 7 minutes, I want it to repeat all over again.

I can make a hopper timer give out signals at even amounts of time, but I can't make anything that gives out signals at odd amounts of time, much less a difference like I need.

What we've learned from FTB's beta testing process, despite them having done this for years:

- They kick people out who are in any way associated with rival modpack groups.
- They kick people out who can't pass oddball tests like reading crash logs, even known modpack makers or modders, when FTB is supposed to be the ones processing crash logs
- They ask stupid questions on the application such as what's the worst mod
- They don't tell people that they've been kicked out, they just shut them out of their system and sometimes send them an email when they get around to it
- They send out emails to all the testers using CC instead of BCC, so everyone gets everyone else's private email addresses
- It's treated like a voice chat party instead of just giving people a fucking modpack to play
- Somehow circlejerk modders who don't work for FTB are involved in handling the process

The biggest inspiration for the temple was after watching a series called Magical Egypt, particularly one about the Luxor "Temple of Man" concept. The overall shape of it is meant to resemble a human frame, which you can kind of see in the overhead shots posted earlier.

There are also mods that punish early-game tech dependence. For example, the cheapest XU generator has a shit RF/t rate, and Thaumcraft wands can only do much and you have to make a better one for trapping nodes or using mid- or endgame things.

The coal generator was only added on 1.8+ because he realized the mod didn't have any simple generator, and the ender pearl one is just a cool as fuck idea. The mod was never intended to be used by itself, so go make your power from something else.
And I don't know, the only thing that consumes a lot of power in that mod are the dimensions. It makes sense that a diamond world would use all the power.

My curiosity got the better of me. Here's what happens:

The Forge function `processIdRemappings` will check the name->ID mappings for your world, and if any names are missing, it will "block" the corresponding ID from being reused for another block. Reika patches this function in a way that, when a missing mapping to a Vanilla item ID is encountered, the vanilla ID is not "blocked" as usual.

Why is this needed? If you replace a Vanilla item ID with your own item, Forge will record that mapping in your save file. If your mod is removed later on, then Forge will remove that mapping and "block" that vanilla ID, right before it registers the original vanilla item that owns that ID. This causes Forge to fail a consistency check because the "blocked" ID is now in use again, displaying a very alarming error: "The world state is utterly corrupted and this save is NOT loadable".

Reika's patch to Forge (which is identical in both DragonAPI and DanglingVanillaFixer) prevents vanilla IDs from being "blocked", allowing the original vanilla item to reclaim the ID without causing Forge to fail its consistency check. Having this patch in DragonAPI is very paradoxical - as long as DragonAPI is installed, the patch does nothing, but it would be useful after DragonAPI is removed, but if you do that then the patch isn't present, and you get the "utterly corrupted" error - hence the DanglingVanillaFixer.

Reika does replace Vanilla item IDs with different items, in fact! But the only ones he replaces are specifically items that have a pixel icon, but can be placed in the world and so can be rendered with a 3D model instead of an icon. He replaces them with items that are rendered in 3D but are otherwise identical!

If the house is at or above ground level, I would go with a lighter-colored material for the ceiling. If it's more underground or even embedded in a hillside, raw stone looks great and gives a nice cozy cave feel.

As for factories, i heard Magneticraft strives to be a Factorio-in-Minecraft, haven't bothered to check it out yet though.
I myself enjoyed my combo of Flaxbeard + Buildcraft + Rotarycraft + TC4 +Railcraft immensely about a year ago. It was a major headache (actual, physical one) figuring shit out sometimes when your production line spread across giant territory through all kinds of transportation and hidden messes of blocks\gates\redstone faggotry breaks somewhere and shit goes haywire, but it was so fucking fun.

Make sure the mana spreader is aimed at the pool and that the flowers are all bound to the spreader. Sometimes if you place the flowers before the spreader, they won't automatically latch onto it.

Botania has a pretty good progression system. Don't try to jump ahead to advanced functional flora until you have at least an endoflame setup. Tha fuck you need mana diamonds for in early game.

The only one that doesn't really make sense as a box is the throne room, because that would be closer to a hallway.
I originally planned on making the building look a bit like a horseshoe crab with sort of, I'm not really sure what they're called, fins?, flaps?, like webbed feet, but not, but that involved a fuckload of 3d curvature that I can't really plan out too well.
I'd rather stick with good looking boxes.

Okay, So I wanted to do a little server that works off of a story, with the most basic borders being that there is the low lands, the high lands, and the hell lands. Religious, magic faggots live in the low lands and praise their god, while the cool machine airship dudes live in the highlands. then the awful people who hate everyone live in the helllands. Or you know, Instead of asking me for a story when the whole point of the server is to make one, people could join in and help, instead of telling me what's stupid, and trying to make it better.

I think one of my biggest disappointments in Witchery was the 'graveyard mist'.
