If you were to pick between maining either:
A sorc that has been your main for 3+ years, has loads of costumes and achievements and general sentimental value stuff to go with it, which will improve soon-ish

or a ninja which is obviously new but has a very good, fluid rotation and performs well

considering that you didn't necessarily enjoy ninjas in PvP but you love them in PvE and the reverse is true of sorcerer

I'd say play the sorc for pvp and ninja for PvE.
A better answer though would be to play whatever you find enjoyable until the class rebalance update comes. Sorcs should be getting a lot of changes then and may end up being a lot more enjoyable and stronger.

That's the hardest thing though because, I really enjoy Sorc, I just love the way they are and the updates look AMAZING
but I'm one of those people who is really shy and nervous about doing content/dying in content, and if I play Ninja its just soo much easier it washes the stress away. Why wouldn't I want to play that? And I like ninja's rotation, I like the way they can just teleport behind anything. Technically I enjoy Sorc more but I'm afraid of putting all my hopes into Sorc and feeling like I'm weighing my party down ;_;

Honestly my main characters have always been my priest and archer. I've always had high ping though which has made those classes hard and since moving to my new place and getting even worse internet it's started to feel like healing is near impossible at times.
What I did was swap to Ninja with the mindset that I will swap back/take another look once I get better internet or the new class updates come out.
I'd say just stick with Ninja for now if you are concerned about your performance and then swap back when the update comes.
