I know thats mostly because he isn't burdened with the whole dead kids / duty to his people thing but he kind of came off more as an OC then a variation of the character like Toriel and Asriel did imo. If Asriel and Chara had a different thing going on, and Toriel had a different thing going on, then it only follows that Asgore has a different thing going on.

Honestly, the fact that everything seems to be building up towards Toriel forgiving Asgore for whatever he did, possibly even getting portrayed as bad for ever doubting him in the first place, has me on edge.

The prince of all monsters had found Frisk's computer unattended by its owner. So if Chara is suppose to be the player as indicted by the HUD, you naming them and you gaining stats when you fight doesn't that mean that Chara is always there in some form even during True Pacifist? I mean I know that they are also their own character but thats not weird since lots of games have the POV character as a non-self insert.

and ff that's true doesn't it also make sense that Chara is helping you throughout the game and influencing you in some form like when you have a flashback during waterfall and some of the comments on enemies both during a normal run, true pacifist run and a genocide run? So doesn't that mean that in some way Charas morality is affected by the player and that by themselves Chara might not have been a great person but at least wasn't a genocidal maniac?

So why does everyone blame everything on Chara when really all the big problems in the game were because of either Asgore or Asriel? Seems like they gets the raw end of the deal when they are only evil because you the player teach them to be evil and they are totally peaceful and even helpful during every other route yet they are often portrayed as an irredeemable demon while Asgore and Asriel both get left off the hook in the fandom despite doing way worse things by themselves with no influence.

Asriel was just as responsible for what happened in that village as Chara was considering they could have backed out and gotten their parents to stop Chara from going through with their plan but people seem to only ever blame Chara for all that. Its also not like Chara forced Asgore to declare war on humanity or to put a kill order on all future humans and yet people still seem to think Chara is the worst character.

You know, I get Chara.
They hated humanity and after falling into Mt.Ebott they wanted to free the monsters.
The only way to cross that barrier involved having both a monster and a human soul so they sacrificed their own life so Asriel could free his people.
But Asriel never liked this plan and in the end he too sacrificed his life to spare the lives of those humans.
Now this is where it gets interesting.
After death Asriel became soulless and no longer able to feel love.
He tried countless times to feel anything, helping people, solving their problems but his soulless existence became too much for him so in the end he finally gave in to the madness, it`s kill or be killed...
Something similar might have happened to Chara.
Somehow they are still there, ( it`s me, Chara, where are the knifes, that comedian and so on )
The monsters liked them very much when they were alive so they could not have been that bad.
So what happend?
Maybe the same as Asriel, a soulless existence that drove them to madness.
