You shouldn't even be needing to break the tail a second time. Break the tail, then break his horn and back spike while he's immobilized. That should be enough to kill him.

You can easily tell what an item will do for your mag before you feed it. Guns will boost R-atk, but you'll need to feed it other items to keep DEX from rising too high.

Class Skill points are exclusive to their respective classes. Spending a point in Hunter does nothing to Ranger's skill tree, unless you're planning to subclass it.

As with most classes, only if the player is a shitter. Kestrel Rampage had depreciated after Immortal Dove came out, but now that we have Type-0, Kestrel is back on top again. Do an attack into JA Heavenly Kite should max out your gear, then JA into Kestrel Rampage Type-0 and watch the numbers fly. It's become a very viable strategy while you wait for PBF to cool down, if not replace it in many situations. And it still has that wonderful knockback-immunity for when you want to tank something. Even then, DB has a PA pool that works well enough.

>Dispersion Shrike
Easy Mode is to just spam it for mobbing even though a Zondeel into a smaller-area-attack works better a lot of the time. A more advanced use is combining the high mobility and full Gear refill to kite enemies while regaining PP. My strategy for Banther/Bashee is to spam Dispersion into Photon Blades and slowly move around them. They end up stun-locked and dead before I run out of PP.
>Heavenly Kite
Decent damage, fast way to refill your Gear, and launches enemies. You can use this to break pre-ep 3 bosses by staying up in the air with it. My hobby when doing Dorios is to use it to stay in the air for almost the entire fight, outside the range of many of its attacks. Gels well with Immortal Dove, since that move will reset you back to the ground.

Cheap, fast, and damaging. Makes great use on enemies that have small windows for attack. Only two hits, though, so doesn't help much with Gear.

They've got weaker mobbing than Hunter (yes even Sword factoring in Sacrifice Bite) and single target subpar to Fighter and somewhat Braver (they're superior attacking aerial/high up targets, though). So they're an in between outside of Fever.
DBs are certainly not weak and can contend all things considered. If you're thinking about mobbing with them though, well, you're going to struggle.

No, you're not going to outdo anybody unless you're Limit Breaking 24/7, and SATK BO/HU will still shit on your damage. Casting without PP charge revival and way less damage than FO is just no way to be.
