not largely. it's often just a handful of new moves, adjusting old moves (sometimes just the frame data, other times the properties), or changing inputs.

in those specific games, t6 -> tag 2 was overall a pretty big change mainly due to tag assault combos. sure, you can call it t6.5, but there were a ton of adjustments.

tag 2 -> t7.0 is not a huge leap, actually. most returning characters kept all their moves and were given maybe a couple new ones, with some adjusted to be a screw attack for combos. it's mainly the new system and system changes that affected each of them most. tag 2 -> t7fr is a different story, so far at least.

it's mostly an execution grind, but it's nothing too special or particularly difficult. if you're mashing with your friends, it'll make no difference. if you're trying to compete in tournaments, then it's almost a handicap to play them without certain basics. all the while learning tekken basics.

reality is that they're harder than most of the cast to get a solid grasp of in order to jump into a tournament and play solid tekken, especially compared to feng or dragunov, let's say. it doesn't help that everyone knows, or should know the matchup, so it's an uphill battle in that sense too.

otherwise, if you just put in like 15-30 minutes a day practicing the execution stuff in training mode, it's nothing anyone can't handle. applying it will take a lot longer, though, and that's where the main difficulty lies. it's not the wavedashing and ewgfs that are hard, it's doing them on command while playing tekken with a human opponent.

it's also the super optimized combos, but pretty much no one except top level kazuya players need those.

Amnesia/Outlast/Slender clone is just about the last fucking thing I ever wanted RE to turn into.

RE5 and 6 were amazing action games no matter how you feel about the other aspects. They had actual gameplay.

RE7 is going to be a fucking walking simulator with next to no gameplay

It wouldn't surprise me if they chose to go this route because it's much cheaper. Notice how they didn't even show their new engine Panta Rhei or Deep Down? Capcom fucked up immensely and are probably barely getting by on MH and RE money. Only reason DR4 exists is because of MS.

Since there was no new Marvel vs Capcom, it's time for me to kill myself. My name is Alexei, I am from Russia, St. Petersburg. I've been waiting new MvC game for 5 years, but I guess I won't make it. I am ill and there is no cure, I am not even sure I'll make it till TGS. MvC was and is my favorite series and one of things that brought me the happiness in my short life. I felt really betrayed by what they did with the UMVC3 and I was really hoping that MvC4 will bring me the last moment of joy before I die. But I guess there is no need to wait any longer. They changed the combat system from a slower, more strategic with actual RPG elements into Devil May Cry-lite where you literally mash X over and over while teleporting around the field.

Weapon skills and abilities are gone, magic has been turned into a mini-cinematic and the combo making system from before where you chose what weapon/ability you would use for each part of your custom combo has been removed as well.

The world is extremely generic and the art direction is atrocious. They have super realistic drab shit + bishounen + fantasy in one game and none of it blends.

Every character has 3 ways of attack: High, Mid and Low. Any time someone gets close to you you are in a mixup. This is before even accounting for throws. Not only that but they can ALSO side step your shit and hit you from the side/behind and even grab you from the side/behind. Not only that but they can also mix you up mid blockstring lmao. Good luck blocking something if you haven't seen it 50 times already. You will get literally mashed out by braindead scrubs because you haven't memorized all the strings and frame data yet. That's the R.Mika part.

The E.Ryu part comes from when they hit you. Every single character can convert into long ass combos with huge damage off a single hit.
