So im trying to use Ciaangel to get a ticket for a game from eshop, My understanding was that i needed to hit L until i got to the Install Ticket Region option at the bottom, however i can only find create ticket region, anything i'm doing incorrectly? also im using the search option by name of game, is there a different more direct way to search?

Alright, so I'm looking for something kinda specific and I'm curious which way would be easier to go about it.

I'm looking to play a Final Fantasy VI (SNES, US III) romhack that pretty much puts in place a fan-translation of the original script, along with putting in an improved opera scene and other bits of improvement.

Would it be easier to get a homebrew emulator for SNES stuff, or should I make one of those custom CIAs for it? How much of a performance difference is there between a CIA and the currently available SNES emulators available for homebrew?

Freeshop has a MUCH nicer UI but it only contains games(DLC/Updates/DSiWare are something that are gonna be in the next update). There's also the option to just browse every game as well and look at screens

CIAngel has a shit UI but it contains games/DLC/Updates/DSiWare. Theres only a search function so you cant really browse through a list

I dont know about that last part because I dont use CIAngel

The OoT entrypoint's accessed via a modded savegame installed to the cart. You can install it via the oot3dhax installer, part of the homebrew starter kit, but you obviously need some form of existing access to the homebrew launcher to do that. A different 3DS is just fine and you can install it for any other 3DS type/version. You can also install it with a PowerSaves dongle (they're $15 or so).

Freakyforms & Cubic Ninja don't need that, that's why they're called primary entrypoints.

You'll want to get the newest version of FBI, the newest NTR which is a cfw that runs on top of the one you're using(lets you take screenshots and use cheats), you may want the JKSV save manager thingy if you ever want to do things like edit save files, but other than that, yeah, just download the cia and install using fbi

What's the easiest way to get the Title ID for a Japanese game? I want to get the patches and DLC (if there are any) for Love Plus and Medarot Bots 9 using CIAngel but I didn't take note of their Title IDs when installing and the links I used to get them didn't include them either.

So I finally decided to upgrade to an n3ds and ordered one of the hyrule editions from gamestop. I thought I lucked out getting two ips screens but when I went to system settings it had been updated to 11.0.

In this context, rxTools and Luma are CFWs. You'll be replacing what you use to boot your hacked system (I'm guessing you have menuhax) with a9lh, and you'll set it up to use the latest CFW, which is Luma.

If you read through the guide you'll get a clearer picture. If you're planning on following it, use the .webm posted in the thread to switch to Luma, and then follow the guide from part 4

You're supposed to boot into SafeA9LHInstaller. You didn't do this:
