because you can't pay for runefest with bonds anymore, the price of bonds on rs3 is dropping and rates are pretty damn good because people who bought runefest bonds are swapping back from rs3 to osrs, so swappers have a shortage of oldschool cash

there's also a deal with rs3 bonds right now with which you can get 3 months instead of 2 months membership with 5 bonds

because of the whole runefest drama, you are saving a bunch of cash if you swap over from oldschool to rs3 instead of buying oldschool bonds. rate is 1:5.4 right now and rs3 bonds are 10m while osrs bonds are 3m

that summer deal means you can get 5 bonds for 10.5m osrs if you swap it (instead of 15m if you just buy the bonds on osrs and you can't get 3 months instead of 2), so you're saving 4m osrs if you swap over to RS3

You can move your house there eventually and have the portal somewhere in between the woodcutting guild and the farming patch.

Or if you get some slayzien favour you can kill lizardmen for an amulet which teleports you pretty close to the patch.

The best method of using the hosidius house farming patch is to do shayzien house till 5%, which unlocks lizardmen. Kill lizardmen till they drop a xerics amulet, which lets you teleport around zeah. One of the teleport destinations is pretty close to the farming patch. The fairy ring is waaaay too far away.

An important note about house favor; if you get a house to say, 50%, then start grinding out another house, that first house will lose favor as favor in the new house increases. The only way to stop this is to get a house to 100% then talk to the architect for that house. This effectively 'locks' that house from losing favor.

Yeah. The problem is you have two choices, one 200gp shield that sucks balls, or one 16.5mil shield that's one of the best shields in the game.

There's no middle ground. It would be like if none of the metals between bronze and rune existed.

It doesn't even make sense from a lore standpoint, why can't whichever fuccboi who is enchanting shields at the varrock castle cast his antifire spell on another shield? Or tie it into smithing and let you combine the antifire shield with various other shields and make it non tradeable.

Honestly, for me, the most difficult part was right before the final boss, when you have to fight several monkey simultaneously while at the same time switching prayers and attack style, I got quite close to dying there several times. You do need to watch your hp and prayer during the fight with Glough, but with good enough equipment (and utilising the current death mechanics letting you keep untradeables on npc death), it's not too challenging.

The troll and ogre bosses are easy because you can safespot them. Kruk too, but it's a little more difficult to get him stuck. As for Kruk's dungeon, I would recommend the tanking route unless very high agility and low def, it's not that difficult with some brews, super restores and staminas.

The platform part is easily the most frustrating part of the quest, but just be patient and you'll get it eventually.

As for combat stats, mine are in the high 80's melee, and 83 ranged with 70 prayer, and did fine. So it's probably quite doable with 80+ combat stats, and relatively easy with 85+.
