While I was away from my base, my Golems for some reason decided to start planting hemp instead of wheat. There are 3 9x9 plots like this. Of course none of it was saved since this area is only supposed to be collecting wheat and seeds.

I have a substantial visual builder's bent but I don't like EIO.

Also EIO's problem is not free / cheap everything resource-wise so much as it is, you don't have to think about the shit your setting up at all, just plug and play.

I like building pretty shit but if I'm going to bother with muh ore processing and other generic techmod shits at all, I want to at least have to think about it a little.

There's also how much people care about muh coherent world lore, and how people feel about manually grinding for resources, to consider.

So I had surgery a few days ago and have gotten incredibly fucking bored. So I've turned to Minecraft, Sky Factory 2.5 specifically, for some entertainment.

Can someone tell me why my lava generator isn't fucking working? I've tried everything I can think of. Servos, levers, every single pipe placement. Nothing works. Cobble isn't taken to the crucibles and lava isn't taken from the crucibles to the tanks.

I'm beyond annoyed at the moment and, if I can't get this shit to work, will probably quit out of frustration. I have no experience with this shit and nothing I've googled/youtubed is helping.

The ender dragon not spawning is a bug that has persisted since they first added it into the game. There's no way to fix the issue itself other than creating a new world.

You can, however, force spawn the dragon in, either with the crystals or through a command.

I've been futzing around with Unity the past few days and it has phenomenal documentation and solid tutorials. Are you the guy wanting to make a new minecraft? I think Unity really is the way to go there. Unity does have manual rendering capabilities (drawing vertices programmatically) that will be important for rendering voxels. I thought of algorithms for a dungeon crawler voxel based game if Forge gets too confusing. Forge has terrible, outdated documentation written by kids, some that aren't even correct, with a raging autist completely fucking up the API each version because 'the way you do it is wrong and I'm always right'. It's hard to make a minecraft clone efficient. Start with rendering cubes in a pattern and then plan out your efficient rendering algorithms.

I think they're hardcoded to only spawn on vanilla biomes for some reason, haven't checked if they work on BoP but I'd assume not. I couldn't be assed to configure one of those custom mob spawn mods this time so I just got rid of GoG in this world, as thankfully Hostile Mobs and Girls still works on modded biomes.

No, all MCP mappings are from the community. The only time that anything Mojang does makes a difference for MCP is if an inner class is moved out, like is said to have happened to some things in 1.10.

Mojang has never given mappings because they don't support modding.

Whatever you want. TC has the easiest learning curve of any mod, if you ask me, thanks to the research minigame that progressively gives you new stuff instead of dumping the whole mod on you at once, overwhelming you.
The research then becomes a nuisance when you know your way around the mod but that's easily solved by spawning in a cheat sheet book to solve all the research.

See this is the thing people that think like the way you phrased your post don't get about how Minecraft versions work. The only reason to move to the next version is to get whatever that version has. If people don't want or are completely apathetic towards the content offered, they won't go for it.
It's the same I imagine with any other 'thing' that has a 'new thing' offered. If the 'Thing' offers more value, or the 'New Thing does not offer any more value, then people won't get the New Thing.

I stay at 1.7.10 because it has all the mods and content I am familiar with and like. Everything beyond that is missing the content I want to play with. Thus I stay at the version I derive value from. Its really simple.
