you heal and dps, if people stand on the middle of the path for the lightning attack, next to a wall during the rush attack and put the aoe on the middle so you can stand on the edges of the corridor for impact then you'll dps a lot more than heal.

this fight is definitely more unforgiving than the other raids. people will have to get gud mechanic wise, not necessarily dps wise. they are more akin to a normal mode trial kind of mechanics, so easy, but they can still wipe you.
im sure it wont be as cancer once people learn the mechanics.

5-8 players is perfect. There are no mechanics that are made more challenging by requiring a very large number of players to do them. This game is very casual friendly. Basically there's a new content batch every three months or so and it alternates between bumping up the max item level and introducing comparable stuff to hardcore content that anyone can get.
Even if you have no interest in raiding so long as you keep up with your weekly caps you'll never be more than 10 or 11 item levels behind the (very small) hardcore raiding crowd, unlike WoW where there are so many different tiers that the difference between the casual LFR player and players running the most difficult content is fucking huge.
