Why do some weapons have more phantom range than others?
I -think- I understand the basic concept of phantom range; your hitbox lags behind you so people can hit it despite you technically not being there anymore, but why do some weapons clearly reach further than others?
Dark Sword can hit you even if the user attacks a place where you never were.

Keep resetting until you get the Demon's Greathammer, get 60 Strength and smack shit UP.

All you'll ever need is the 60 STR, some health, some stamina and poise.

That thing can one-shot many normal enemies, especially when armored, will pancake any human enemies and can take a good 15-25% off a boss' HP.

It also has a very long range and is pretty good in PvP with some training, if you want to go for that, since the pancaking also applies to other players, making some AMAZING roll-catches possible.

The reason I think differently is that you are being summoned by Anri into a world of hers where she's the one to slay Aldrich. I see that as the same deal as you being summoned by another player. You are still your own "main character" from your world and do some incredible shit there but are merely a helping ghost in another while summoned while your physical body in that player's world is still just a rotting, dead corpse in the ground because he was the one rising as the unkindled one.

Now, I'm not saying that the Anri you get summoned to is her world's Unkindled One or anything, but that the dimension you get summoned into is one where Anri achieved much more and is a lot more powerful than the one in your home world, being able to summon other powerful souls from distant worlds and possibly not even having an Unkindled One alive in her universe.

TL;DR I think that every player character and NPC exists in every single world with each one having a world of themselves, in which they are a powerful, unique soul of some sort while all the rest are just regular humans/undead/corpses.
