Heart crosses take up shit load of space and cascading into them is asking to be wrecked since there are 2-3 spots a heart can skyfall to ruin you.

I'm assuming he is talking about the fact that that the damage boost is attached to a def buff, so it wears off when the enemy takes a turn instead of when you do.
Nice for sweeping garbage, but most things that matter have some sort of preemptive on them that forces to you match a cross when you want to burst like you expect.

For Kaede most of the time 49x with 2x prongs is more than enough. The extra mult on a 3 match is just gravy.

D/R lets you do more damage, which is an issue among FAL teams, than Awoken does most of the time because she has two very useful killers that are commonly found in many dungeons, while having an extra row on top. You can go Awoken if RCV is a big issue, but FAL's RCV scaling and good comboing should fix that.

D/D carries the same problems D/R has with even less RCV and her awakenings don't make up for them. The only team D/D is ever used in nowadays is Pandora, and that's if you don't have Zuoh.

Wat. I can see the 5-6 system teams being a cop out, but If anything the 5 orb + shape requirements are encouraging you to puzzle outside the normal patterns. Your ability decides whether you get the shield.

Mechanics like that are more interesting than the off color orb for damage activation, 6+ match rut they've been in for a long time.

you know. I have to hand it to gungho. they've taken a very basic idea and really come up with some interesting things. at the base all this game is, is trying to get a high combo by draging one orb around to manipulate the board. we have rows and prongs for damage multipliers, 5+s for a flat boost, crosses for protection and orb gimmicks like jammers, poison and locking.

but, it's really a shame that all we have for defense after all this time is AS shields and heart crosses. You'd think they'd come up with something else. like maybe 2 rows of hearts on top of one another could increase your max hp for a few turns or making a U could let you absorb a color.

I'm really interested to see where this could go

They usually don't use him on anything. Aside from being a lead with little support and a mediocre sub for monolight teams, it also doesn't help that he's so difficult to make. A lot of Twitter hyperwhales only recently made him and they have the PADR dungeon and descend boss rush to make evolving it easier for them.

The 3 SB with 5 CD may be useful for skill inheritance somewhere, at least. It's similar to DMeta in terms of that.

ToS still has a few things PAD doesn't, like an active skill that increases board size temporarily and enemies that can only be damaged if you clear matches in a designated portion of the board.

Hopefully PAD never adds that latter gimmick.

I think Haku should get booted for Hanzo with Lucifer taking up the flex spot unless Persephone goes D/R or Awoken (mostly Awoken) for the SBR.

With the hastes on Pandora, Hanzo will be up pretty fast after his initial use, and he still gets to be used for the board kill.

Devils aren't so bad. Pandora's a fantastic lead at the moment and she plays with mostly devil subs (exceptions like eschamali can be made in certain situations)

Cecil's multiplier is pretty good, but his playstyle is very orb hungry: his max multiplier requires a minimum of 9 dark orbs on the board. Durga may not be able to clear endgame content, but she'll probably get you through the normal dungeons without much drama. Try building teams for either of those for now, and remember to use stones exclusively for the REM during godfests (do not get baited by shit like the academy collab)

Depends. I feel like the team is tanky enough that 5-turn changers aren't as important in every dungeon. Despite that, Pandora is a lead that's very flexible and can always move subs around when required.

Zuoh + Akechi are certainly core for that incredible burst, on top of the fact that Zuoh's board can be fixed by at least 1 sub and both leads. Personally, if I see a dungeon with 2 floors in a row requiring burst, I'll bring Haku along.

Arguments can be made for any other sub depending on what you're trying to clear.
