I want you to imagine that scene if it didn't take into account that you married Lucina. It's such a major, unavoidable scene that even IS, in all their laziness, realized they had to do something to make it make some sense in that scenario. Even then, it doesn't work very well with MaMU x Lucina. I've always felt that it works much better with FeMU x Chrom since it makes more sense that she would view the mother she hardly knew who fucked everything up for her father and everyone else as disposable as opposed to the guy she decided to marry and vow to spend her life with.
