Raids have more defined roles in combat.
All fights require at least one dedicated healer and a few of them require an actual tank.

There are also more support type roles. Chrono for example is taken to pump out alacrity and quickness to your team
Necro in wing 2 could also qualify as support despite being a damage dealer as they pull conditions off of your team that would otherwise be a pain to deal with

The average raid comp is healer -> support chrono -> array of damage dealers bringing different things to the table -> tank on certain fights. You can even throw in an off healer if your dps is decent and the extra heals are needed.

for golemancy, you'd definitely want an asura. Not just for the cultural prejudice, but the sensitive ears are vital for detecting and troubleshooting the magical currents inside a golem, because they're the only organ that's sensitive enough for this kind of work.
Small ones are better for precise work, while bigger ears are better at finding fluctuations in unspecified parts of the golem.
