Blizzard keeps a low tickrate because lower tickrate = less bandwith = less stress on servers.

I'm not sure how blizzard managed it, but they've actually created a game with a community more abhorrent than LoL's.

Don't get me wrong I love it, hearing peoples anger, frustration and impotent rage satisfies me immensely; the momentous feat that they've pulled off however inspires awe.

At least this is true on EU.

First week was fairly calm and rage free, but now that the games begun to utterly consume people I'm seeing the player behavior change.

I think that the games pacing is the factor, 40 minutes too win a game of league, 2-10 in overwatch; its as if league is caffeine too overwatches crack cocaine.

I mained support in League so I figured I'd play predominantly support in Overwatch. But holy shit, everyone in Overwatch is so entitled. Spam pinging for heals when they're across the map, ignoring enemies on me, expecting me to be up their ass 24/7. I stopped playing support but then every other game I'm basically forced into the role because no one wants to do it.

And god forbid I play Symmetra. Team will whine that I'm not playing a healer. Like, fuck you. Symmetra shouldn't classify as a support. You play a fucking healer.

This game has made me hate playing support. At least everyone always votes for my cards at the end, I guess.

Because Widowmaker is a mobile hero with wallhacks along with her assault rifle being strong enough to defend herself. 150 bodyshots are bullshit for heroes like Zenyatta, who no mobility at all. The AWP doesn't make you mobile, and in that game there are flashes and smokes to circumvent an AWP user. The most you can do to counter a good widow is have a monkey on them 24/7 or a good widow on your team as well.

Yeah, Lucio does decent damage, but he doesn't absolutely shred D.vas, Roadhogs and Reinhardts. Christ, just today, I fucked up a McCree trying to sneak up on me to fan me, and a Genji working his way up to our Widowmaker. Lucio can do damage, but he can't completely two shot people. I do wish they'd at least make his Harmony apply a smaller HoT to others within a certain range of your Harmony target though. His heal alone just isn't great. Or maybe extend the duration of Harmony by like 2-3 extra seconds or make it permanent as long as you want it to be, when an ally runs out of vision of you.

Shit, I personally think whomever you Discord should be revealed to your team for the duration as well. They have a lot to work with, for Zen, to make him a bit more appealing.

Either way, he's my fucking favorite Support. Love Zenyatta so much, I was playing him all day, never got tired of him.

Zenyatta ain't that bad its more the one shot widow potential that makes him appear worse than he is, if he had 200 hp he'd be op the dmg he deals is obscene.

As for sym i'd classify still classify her as a supp due to the teleport, if you can't understand why then you don't understand the impact of logistics/supply on certain maps.

The problem though is mercy's ult has a similar impact and her overall kit isn't nerfed like sym's is. Her turrets are garbage and the best part about her shield is the sound cue on taking damage not the extra ehp itself.

I think in general though making healers is very hard.

Look at a genre with many different healers, mobas suffer a lot from healers being incredibly boring. In league they are very basic, mainly just like Mercy but with some CC or damage or in HoTs where there is like 10 or something healers that literally just heal / protect one person or Dota where anyone can really heal due to Mek.

Lucio's AOE, Mercy's single target beam and Zen's ability to throw a passive heal on people from a great distance really covers a lot of the 'ways' people heal in MOBAs and MMOs. I really don't know what they could do besides these and I think that's why Blizzard didn't put any (they couldn't think of any more fast enough).

Another thing is supports are usually Shielders or Healers, but the way the game plays is people heal are much more valueable then Zarya (The only shielder, Sym/Torb giving extra hp doesn't count for me) the only shielder in the game and someone who isn't played much compared to Lucio/Mercy.

The funny part about Mccree is he is the character that is designed to beat any character in 1v1, and people cry and bitch about dying when they fight him 1v1.
