These patch notes suck cock, there's basically no fucking change. Why the fuck is this the change, I play PoE because it's different every 3-4 months, this will be 6 months in a row of fucking garbage welfare leagues full of awful Clearspeed meme builds. Fuck. I have eight (8) builds planned, I was hoping these notes were gonna throw all of them out the window with changes, why the fuck does this patch suck so much. I don't want Reave and EQ to be the only melee in the game, I don't want Casters to do nothign but Bladefall/Vortex, and I sure as shit don't want to build CoC just to fuckign guarantee end game clear.

Either marauder (berserker/juggernaut) or duelist (slayer/champion). I personally love the duelist so I'd go slayer.


Most of the hardcucks here will tell you to not follow a guide. That may be correct in many cases, unless you have little game knowledge about PoE. That build guide is fine to be honest, just don't follow it word for word, read the PoE official wiki and explore various options with your passive tree (plan in advance). Cyclone is easy because its cheap to gear and easy as heck to run. Just get a kaoms primacy axe or any rare 2hander, life, armor and resist gear, and go ham in maps.

Considering how little effort it takes to clear trash, this might be better than Reave since it fixes the latter's biggest problem, single target damage. And you can still use Vaal Reave for YOLO gotta go fast clear speed.

I'm gonna go with the standard build (The one Budzergo uses) since it's easier to explain, I'm going 11 jewel retard build this time but his is much better

It all works out because Oro's already has a retarded base damage, so most of your points will be spent on life, and your only damage in the tree comes from the Two Handed Pysical Damage nodes here, which are converted to Fire damage with the Fire-born unique jewel later on in the game.

This works out perfectly starting out as a duelist, grabbing all the life nodes, grabbing the cluster of 2H nodes building Sunder -> EQ then switching out to Flicker when you feel like you are ready.

Then you should be reaching out to the mara/templar side for more life and resolute, and ele damage like celestial punishment

Also being able to wear Kaoms comes as a huge ass bonus in leagues with the 500 Life + 40% increased fire damage, it's HC viable since you are stun immune and you have 8~9k life

Softcore and my goal is clear-speed, at a reasonable price.

I played Cyclone CoC Discharge last league, getting Voll's Devotion was such a pain, don't think I'll be able to play enough to get it fast this league.
Thinking about going Physical CoC, aka Bladefall/Ethereal Knifes.
Seeing as Discharge CoC gets little from additional ascendancy points(still preferring Trickster), but Physical gets "permanent" Frenzy Charges, 15% on kill should be good enough for map clearing.

I judged Physical CoC to be a little bit better than Discharge without Voll's Devotion but with 4/5 Frenzy charges maybe it won't be THAT much inferior.

Anyone got experience with Physical CoC?
I'm scared about the spells being cones instead of 360 Discharge, will hurt clear-speed.
Did the math on pure damage, it should be in the same range at least.

So what exactly keeps me from making a spark ranger instead of scion for the new league and just put life leech in my 6-link. The damage output will be almost the same as before and the leech gem will mitigate most of the reflect damage that's left after the Voltaxic nerf. For reflect-heavy zones you could just use a Topaz flask for extra lightning res but I personally wouldn't even bother. Also if there's no reflect mobs, using increased duration instead of life leech will improve the clear speed by quite a bit.
For even more damage you could drop some of the nodes on the left side of the tree and go for the pierce passive wheel and free up the pierce slot in the 6-link for something like faster projectiles.
Once you're at a point where you no longer care about experience penalty from death (around level 90) you can just switch the voltaxic for wands and thus further improve damage and clear speed.
