If Flowey was getting pissed off because he didn't have a soul inside of himself and couldn't feel anything right after he was brought back to life, why didn't he literally JUST go to his father, who had an actual stock and surplus of human souls just SITTING there, explain the situation and that he was his son, Asriel, and just ask for one of the human souls so that he could feel again and not be a botanical maniac?

Would it have been that hard? We know that Flowey didn't go batshit insane immediately after he was brought back to life; he had to go through life for quite some time before he became jaded and uncaring (caring being =/= feeling).

If all it takes to have emotions is a single soul, THE ONLY THING HE NEEDED TO DO WAS ASK THE GUY WITH SIX OF THEM JUST FLOATING IN HIS JARS -- HIS OWN FUCKING FATHER.

Flowey, after he gains 6 human souls, can just straight absorb REGULAR monster souls with no special fanfare. He could just go get a donated soul from a willing monster (of which there's got to be at least one in the whole underground that would be willing to give themselves to Asriel -- especially if they're old and dying anyway) after getting the six human souls from Asgore, give back the human souls, and keep his cool new monster soul.

Or alternatively, he could just keep the human souls in himself plus the one monster soul and use that to make himself Asriel again, but just with the ability to turn into his edgy DeviantArt OC when needed. I'm sure Asgore wouldn't mind having an extremely powerful son in case he ever needed to fight a war.

How do you imagine saving Asriel long-term? Would be he a shotagote living with Toriel and Frisk, or he'd jump to being an edgegote? How would it work long-term, considering all his memories? Would he try to befriend everyone or avoid them, unable to deal with what he have done to them in a past? If he'd be a child again, would he be still like a child, or an adult/teen in child's body?
