ExDeath is pretty efficient for a villain. I'm up to the point where he voided the library of the ancients. Seems to be a fairly smart move, albiet not voiding Bartz and crew would have been a smarter one. So the new abilities in Japan are now available:

The 4* Ranger skill is a 1.5x multiplier AOE physical water attack, 1.7x if you're using a ranged weapon. Not worth that much of a mention.

The 5* Ranger skill is a 3.3x single target physical water attack divided across two hits, upgraded to 3.7x if you have a ranged weapon equipped.

...So it's a strong single target damage option for several lower-tier characters without one.

Ramza is patently absurd in every single way and is a contender for best character in the game pretty much just off of the back of Shout being a thing.

Faris doesn't see much use due to not having her MC2 yet; once she gets that and thus can hit 5 times with Thief's Revenge outside of FFV dungeons, she'll rise in popularity as a result. Her ridiculous in every way skillset means she has a huge selection of good choices to pick from even if you completely ignore her support 5 access. Not to mention her BSB is absurd (although not Shout absurd). She's the one Support 5 that actually can steal the slot from Ramza, if only because being arguably the best Thief's Revenge user in the game is more relevant than the easily put into the RW slot Shout. The truth is you run both and laugh your way to the bank

In Japan it's less relevant because Cid's Missions mean you have no choice but to use whichever support is in that realm, so you actually have to use Wakka/Barret/Irvine/etc. instead of Faris/Ramza.

Also, Faris is cute.

I just brutalized Bahamut Sin myself. Brought Cloud's OSSB and Cid's SB that reduces wind resistance but I was killing shit so fast that by the time I got everything set up, the boss was already basically dead. I killed off two flare charges before the second set of creepers even got to spawn. This is far from my global experience where I had to hone both Maduin and Valefor to R5 and Fire Blossom to R4 along with egging two low level characters to 65 and had still used up literally all my ability charges by the end of it.
