I say each character has their own episode, Twilight Syndrome is probably more and Izuru's will also be more.
Unless certain events intertwine.
The first few episodes might be normal shit too, like their backstory or whatever..

I'm going to assume each UD will have an episode dedicated to themselves with Hajime's probably being the bigger overarching story that somehow connects to some episodes.

Some events will intertwine. During that time, Hajime will turn into Izuru but they'll probably prep it up for the first couple of episodes or something.

Hard to tell how they'll format the episodes for this story.

That's a good question, having played the Japanese version and then only playing english in the PC versions of the game. (Because they were the only versions up until I made the mod for Japanese for both games.)
I was very confused from a lot of terminology, so I think I will not include those nicknames like "Hina" or "Taka".

The terminology question was a big one I was hoping to ask you, and since there a currently 3 translation that ended up being popular (the Something Awful LP translation, the Project Zetsoubou PSP translation, and the official NISA one), and all of them use different things so I don't know how to compromise with this one.

I mostly prefer the SA LP, since that was the one I read first, although i'm familiar with the others as well since i've gone through all the current translations from the first two games. But i'm sure most people are only familiar with NISA's at the moment since it's the most recent one.

Personally I feel a mix of the SA LP and Nisa version would be best. SA was translated by a guy who didn't natively speak Japanese or English and IIRC based it on a chinese translation(or he WAS chinese? Something like that.) So there was a lot of flaws/fuck ups in that one.(The biggest that comes to mind is referring to Chihiro's talent as 'Hacker')

I'm very fluent in Japanese, so I can mix terms,for example, I might keep a few things like "Ultimate" or "Future Foundation".
But some things I might change, like the trial feature names such as "Rebuttal Showdown" or "Logic Dive".

"Ultimate" is shit, Super High School Level is the better term, regardless of what Nisa/Spike Chunsoft thinks is best. Future Foundation's fine, I don't think anyone's against that one.

I want to change it to SHSL though.
The trial names always bugged me personally.
I preferred the name "Climax Interface" or "MTB" in the first game, but NISA/SC changed it to Closing Argument and BTB, which made no sense to me, sorta.
But I guess I can keep the trial terms.

Yeah, I liked the SA LP in the end because of that, even if the prose wasn't the best. The PSP translation is kinda, idk how to word it, too weeb? It sometimes doesn't translate certain words for no reason, and Super Duper High School and use of memes is kinda cringewrothy. It has some nice prose most of the time.

NISA's is all over the place, any and all japanese references was taken out, the nicknames, changes in terminology were pretty weak and stale like "Ultimate" and "The Tragedy," or even some of the talent names; Affluent Progeny is a gigantic mouthful. Why is Ishimaru's Moral Compass when it was originally about keeping order in the school? Also Mondo's clue on "dude" when it was originally about keeping it a gender neutral pronoun, which is why nobody would have noticed it as easily.

It ends up coming off as really weird.

It's a tough call on what you want to change or keep from which translation.

Oren based it on his playthough and just translated along. I think someone help him later one behind the scenes and was able to hack the game, so he was able to use the script later. He used a different process for his SDR2 LP, as he got somebody who was fluent in English to help him along.

I do remember him mention a Chinese playthough, but that was something unrelated to his translation. I think he was just saying that there was one Chinese playthrough and talking about how LP's aren't that popular in the east and most don't go over the first case so that people could experince the game for themselves.

Yes but the point stand Oren didn't know fluent japanese or english, which is kind of important when it comes to translations. When presented with a translation, I'd like to know the translator is fluent in one of the languages he's translating from or to. Speaking of Chinese though, I don't think either of the DR games got proper chinese releases, but both the PSP Japanese releases and the English Vita releases are available to them to buy, which is strange.

Well, they don't call it Rebuttal Showdown in Japanese, they simply call it Cross Swords, same for Logic Dive, they call it Dive Drive, similar to what the soundtrack states, or at least the Japanese one.
It's not a big deal really.
But I understand your point.
So I gave decided that once I complete all their intros, I'll change all the terminology.
I'll also revert the UI of the second game and give back the "8-bit" feel the Japanese versions had.

Don't get me wrong, I do agree with you on Oren's LP having some problems with the language barrier for him and is shows in the earlier chapters. He even went back to redo some of them because they weren't up to par from his later stuff.

There was one theory that some anon a couple threads back brought up. Basically, it revolves around things that happen after the events of IF. To be blunt, the fact that Makoto and friends DIDN'T lynch Mukuro when they got the chance basically means that Future Foundation is going to be on their asses faster than an army of Jimmy Johns delivery boys. Shit may or may not come tumbling down.

Best case, Makoto and friends give Kyousuke the finger and go renegade.

Worst case, Mukuro gets ganked by Kyousuke and his goons. Makoto goes nuclear and becomes the series' newest BBEG

Well I mean yeah since you can't have two Ryoutas attending in the same class at the same exact time and name. Only makes sense for there to only have ever been one Ryouta at Hope's Peak. People would naturally think the Ryouta imposter is Twogami simply because he impersonated Togami in DR2/at the beginning of his first year at Hope's Peak. I don't remember if it was his FTE or some supplementary material, but it's said he would eventually show his true face and identity to his classmates at some point attending Hope's Peak his first year.

So that has us wondering who our "Ryouta" in the Future Volume is about. Who is he? Why is he impersonating Ryouta? How did he sneak into FF?

Could explain the disappearance of the 13th division head who wasn't able to make it for some reason so they had Hina take their place. People think it's Togami yet forget he stated he's from 14h division.

Could explain the reason for DR3 Gaiden and why we're seeing the supposed corpse of Makoto. Could this along with the manga explain what could have happened with the 13th division head and why they're the only ones who couldn't attend the hearing that got "conveniently" hijacked by Monokuma?

There's clearly a connection between all these questions!

I'm assuming it's going to have something to do with memories yet again. Something about them getting knocked out by Monokuma's gas and being forcibly given the bracelets because I doubt they're just going to want to put on bracelets by their own will. Think of it like Zero Escape.

During that time they were knocked out, they could have had added in fake memories of Ryouta being a member of FF.


Or another theory is the real Ryouta cast off his identity once again after becoming an Ultimate Despair and just returned to being the Imposter again meaning their records and identity was erased. Then Kizuura could have picked up a person he was assuming was Ryouta. Could be part of a two fold plan to get the goods on FF from the inside. Having an agent of despair in their midst the whole time.
