All roles(activity/usefulness)

Tank (mechanical knowledge, usage of CDs, deaths)

#1 Hg
Reliable, active, knows mechanics. Hands down the best

#2 Buffslave
Active, manages cds well, knows his class.
Need to learn more about mechanics in ulduar.

#3 Cunnybunny
Knows mechanics well, decent at the class.
Not that active. Sometimes missing, sometimes benched.


Healers (raidwide HPS/maintank HPS, managing mana, fight mechanics, amount of deaths)

#1 Bootyboa
Good healing, knows mechanics, always active.

#2 Oats
Our best druid, depsite having high ping, puts out a good amount of HPS every fight and knows his class very well
Sometimes dies to mechanics, but that's probably a connection issue.

#3 Harmoo
Knows his class very well, mechanics and manages mana well every fight.
Unreliable. Misses a good amount of raids for unknown reasons(?).

Melee DPS (damage done, mechanical knowledge, deaths)

#1 Sennawins
Undoubtably the best melee DPS player, knows what to do and when.
Could be more efficient

#2 Check
Our best rogue DPS-wise, fairly decent at mechanics.
Problem is activity, could come to more raids.

#3 Mywifesgf
Good DPS, knows class well. Decently active.
Lacking mechanical knowledge, dies a fair amount.

Caster DPS (damage done, mechanical knowledge, deaths)

#1 Avanine
Puts out more DPS than any other person in the guild, on any given boss. Very active, and useful for the raid.
Knows mechanics, but doesn't seem to even try to avoid them(???).

#2 Ituhdudu
Mechanically good player (when not drunk), does a good amount of damage on any fight, knows his class well.
Not that active. Blackouts during fights(when drunk) like vezax last time where his mark healed about 30% on vezax, causing a wipe

#3 Fku
Very aware player, knows mechanics well, well-rounded person who's reliable when he's present.
Less active than the above two, doesn't have any incentive to do better DPS than he's already doing (handicapping himself)

There are a lot of luxuries we don't have that retail Wrath had. Most of all the player base size, which means 'scolding' should be kept to a minimum and completely constructive. You're right, if people played/acted like shit back then they were sat or gkicked, but that only works when you're at least a halfass guild to recruit someone to replace them. We can't do that.

If people want to do hardmodes its almost entirely reliant on personal responsibility. Each raider HAS to watch videos and at the very least skim the old EJ cache for their class in 3.3.5a. Leadership can set a basic strat in place, but mechanics will have at least been seen so when the raid gets there the strat can be customized.

No guild short of the top 5 world had an entire raid of great players. If you're not that good and you know it, ask for help or do your best to make up for it by memorizing boss fights. Yea, you're going to get shit because it's 4chan but who cares you'll at least get better. You're going to fuck up, absolutely everyone does. Just don't be a dumbass and learn from it, likewise don't be a nigger to someone all night because they did something stupid since you're going to fuck up too.

We're not trying to world first the instance, but at the same time Ulduar is not easy. Its one of the harder raids the games ever produced when it comes to 25HM. Quit bitching about loot unless it's a legitimate complaint or lighthearted. More drops each week, you'll get your pieces eventually. Most important of all, show up/schedule raids when people can show up. Good attendance is vital.

It is a /wpsg/ guild but there's no reason some hard mode progression can't be done.

From my limited understanding of the situtation they, the L4G devs, finally were able to determine that the lag was caused by their pathing scripts. So they switched it all over to the opensource HG scripts. The lag is gone but the pathing is pretty terrible.

In the grand scheme of things its relatively minor. Hunters just need to compensate with traps and you can't los pull as easily.

L4G probably won't survive the shit it endured at launch so it hardly matters. EU scene is ok but its pretty fucking dead during NA.

I don't know if this question belongs here or the other general and I apologize in advance.
I typically play on private servers (or as of recent the SPP/single player project which is exploding in popularity) using 3.3.5a, which from what I hear is generally considered to be the best version of WoW overall in terms of content and Metzen not buttfucking everything.

However, I have this morbid curiousity as to how bad modern WoW has gotten, almost to the point where I want to temporarily play it and compare it to what I'm currently using. I understand Blizzard has a free trial that last up until level 20, and I was going to use that, but I was concerned as to what exactly it comes with. Any manditory installations to try it out other than WoW itself (like battle.net, etc.)? Can I safely remove everything the Blizzard installation will add to my computer? Or should I just stick with a torrent of the most recent version of WoD?
Again, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask and thank you in advance.

Ranged dps was alright but didn't kill crushers nearly fast enough and didn't switch to constrictors quickly enough either. Clear carryover problems from Kologarn.

Most of our healers are fine but some just seemed bewildered or confused. Healing was good overall. Figaro did well in brain room.

Half our tanks don't even want to tank (just doing it out of necessity) or don't have much tanking experience. The latter + gearing issues are hurting us badly.

Honestly the "core raiders are full lol don't roll on tod" is also hurting.
