you only need to use mats to make one once. You can either look up other existing root chalices via glyphs (pretty much essential if you want to make an FRC chalice) or if you don't want other people's premade dungeons just go through the dungeon and if there's nothing good just overwrite your save and make the chalice over and over till you get something good.

Anyone have an issue with their character sort of "staggering" as they run. I'm not talking sprinting as that works perfects fine. When just doing the normal running speed, my character sort of goes back and forth between running and walking. It's really annoying and strange that whatever the issue is, hasn't affected sprinting. I've only been having this issue as of today, when I got into mensis.

I'm hoping it's not an issue with the controller as this is the second one I've bought and I've only had my ps4 since mid February. As for the one that came with the console, the r2 button ended up getting half depressed and doesn't bounce back correctly, causing that button to be spammed. Is there maybe a way to clean the controller without having it fall to pieces when I open it up?

it IS a DS4 issue, with the analog stick specifically. It's only noticeable in games with more than one movement speed assigned to the stick but when it shows up it fucking sucks. Only solution is to replace it.

It's not THAT bad for BB, however. I did my first ever playthrough of the DLC with it. Granted It took me 8 hours to kill Orphan but that was mostly because I was using +6 beast claws.

Why doesn't LHB get much love around here? It's always posts meme'ing about the memeblade. Is it because of all the baddies with it + yaragul church set r1 spamming in both forms and getting rekt in coop pve? I also see a lot genuinely new players who use it as their first weapon to beat the game with (I did), which is understandable, it hits pretty hard from the get go on enemies you'll be facing at the same part of the game you'll likely have access to the healing church workshop. Plus people seem to flock to fuck huge swords in video games. Thing is though, I've not seen too many people who are veterans of the game using it, let alone giving it praise. Do people playing through for the xth time moreso find their niche in more unique weapons? Mind you I don't really do /bbg/ fight clubs, just invasions.

As far as I know, great swords aren't that good unless they shoot laser beams. They're too easy to dodge. Other than than, people hate on it because it's the one new players gravitate to. It is also, again as you said, very basic comoared to other more interesting weapons with more interesting movesets.

Your stats and level are more than good enough. If you have trouble with LHB's timing, trying a faster weapon or use it in its small sword form. I killed her with the untransformed Saw Spear.

Well your level's not the issue. Do what the other guy said, bait her into doing a headslam and then hit her head until she staggers, that's your chance for big damage viserals.

Once she's lower than 50% there aren't as many openings though, try bolt paper (I think thats good there, not entirely sure) if your damage isn't quite cutting it

There is one way to get Burial Blade before Gehrman but its not any easier. This one's better though since it won't have a waning gem slot, so odds are you'd eventually do it anyway.

Yeah, of all the chalices, Lower Loran is the one that doesn't fuck around. I only do it on characters if they absolutely need something from there like the Burial Blade or the 20% stam rune.
