You don't need to worry about breaking the game when the game breaking elements are gone.

Getting the infamous npc voices cutting for a second and resuming during their ambient dialogue.

If I start MO as admin it still crashes loading skse, if I dont start MO as admin when starting SKSE I get the admin prompt but it still crashes.

So far the only way for it to work I found was to run skse directly as admin.

Quick questions lads. How bad is the performance drop for playing Skyrim on Linux? And if I install Skyrim on Linux, can I run the mods and files I've already downloaded (it's on a separate HDD than the Windows 10 installation) or do I need to reinstall everything just for the sake of Linux?

I only discovered the whole Windows 8.1/10 puts a 4GB cap on 32bit DirectX 9 games after I was unable to roll back to 7. And rather than try to hunt down a new copy of Windows 7 or use an unauthorized version, I wondered if it would be worth installing Linux on a different partition instead.

Guy who was having mod trouble last night with autosave manager and unnamed mod #2 here. I figure out the issue, was very embarrassed by it, and I'd figure some of you guys would get a kick out of it.

A bit of backstory, mod #2 can only be found hosted in certain posts on a forum thread. When I downloaded mod #2, I downloaded it from the latest post from its creator, as that would naturally be the latest version. Turns out that it was actually just an updated esp only, and I didn't actually have any scripts or other data for it installed. So, when the scripts and mcm weren't working, it was because there was nothing there to be working in the first place. I felt rather dumb when I found that out.

We... ran into more problems, he took the shots the night before but some cropping issues happened, and a lot of the shots were ruined.

I don't care for reality in my video games at all, so I only brought Atilla to get a handle of how the series played before I dived into WH, and I love it. There is a significant learning curve even without the sieges I keep hearing about, but I have no complaints. Its admittedly imperfect, but I hope they continue the fantasy entries. You can use a BSA Browser to unpack the textures for letters and notes and draw on them in paint or something, and then include them in your mod and make a new object in the CK that uses these textures. That is, if you want the doodles to be seen in the overworld. You can insert images ala HTML into books, given that they have transparency and so on.

For the most part, it should be an improvement in performance. You biggest issue is not just whether or not you have a campitble video card, but just how compatible that card is. Video cards drivers are the biggest issue. And Skyrim is very video intensive. I've seen many people claim that they got Skyrim working in linux, so I have no doubt that it's possible, but I'm certain it all depends on what video card you have.
