It was the most fun five to six minutes I ever played in Battleborn, before we finally lost.
I was an untouchable god, raining death from the heavens. The melee characters would just look at me perched up there, and I'd do that infuriating taunt before shooting rockets at them. The Shayne kept throwing boomerangs at me, and even used their ult, but it wasn't enough.
I went like 5-1 in the short amount of time the match had left, it was fucking beautiful.

Rockets take some getting used to though, have to keep reminding myself to lead the target.

A lot of legendary gear feels crap. I know there are a few broken ones but most of them are pretty garbage extra effects for their price.

Basically you get the 2 epic quality stat boost + the effect. An epic is around 850-1000 to activate. So you basically paying 800+ shards for the effect.

Not to mention you probably don't build shit while doing it.

It ain't BS. Alani is so bulky. I don't know why they gave her such damage resistance (that is without self healing mind you).

I play Rath and I 1v1 constantly with them. It is a waste of time. Do smash, hit with crossblade, ult, and she has like 40% health by the time it ends. I hope they cut her resistance down because no healer should be that bulky. I basically have to wait till she is half health before attacking since it is pointless otherwise.

Not to mention she can spec into an escape to make her even harder to kill. It is why almost every Alani has like 3 deaths max.

My set up there works perfectly fine. 800 HP for any character, very nice.
And shield penetration works, just look out for the additional number when you hit a target. You still do full damage to shields, but a percentage of that damage bleeds through as well.

Gearbox should do double exp double drops every weekend.

Make sure somebody with a good CC stays at a distance when he engages you, and wait for him to pop Sublimate. Get in there, CC him out of it, and then focus him to death.

Sublimate is a great skill but it's dual purpose and if you can catch him using it offensively instead of as a retreat, he has no way to get away.

You won't be very effective at causing enough damage to kill early game (unless the enemy team is REALLY retarded). But you are very effective at disrupting. So just gank, throw some moves, and run back to your team. Doing that keeps them zoned in on you and your team can push. Also farm minion waves and build a lot to level up faster. Esentially, just be an annoying little shot till you get your ult. ONLY take the kill if you are 100% certain you will kill them. Like if you see a Montana on 40% health, fuck off. You might get him, but one stomp and you are in a shit spot. Risk v Reward should always be on your mind.

Alani needs a nerf for sure. She hits WAY too hard for a healer and tanks even more damage. The fact that she can take all 3 of Raths moves AND leave with over 50 percent health is evidence of how tanky she is. Not to mention her Osmo charges up easily and gives half health also. I think there was a failure to communicate.

I was saying the hooks are fuckin weird because sometimes they pull people way over my head, sometimes they'll pull people to the side, sometimes they'll just stop dead 2 feet from where they started. It'd say unless you're both standing still and it's level ground, it's a 60% chance it'll hook them right infront of you like it's supposed to. I've even had it hurl people super far behind me a few times.

And yeah basically if you're putting down traps randomly without the intention of hooking people into them almost right away, you're playing ghalt badly and people need to watch the fuckin area. Ghalt's not broken, he's just very good at punishing people who are out of position.

Deployables need WAY more base health. Kleese's rifts, which are arguably the most important part of playing him, are easily destroyed by a single OM grenade or Thorn damage field.

As it is right now, too many characters fit into a specialized role that Oscar can do almost as well as they can (sometimes better) for less effort. Hook and trap are great, yes, when they cooperate. They're not 100% reliable (hook is less reliable than trap). His damage falloff is pretty high, especially with the slug nerf. He's strong for sure, but he's not super crazy OP broken like people say. He's very reliant on landing his abilities. Even a mediocre amount of situation and environmental awareness means Ghalt's effectiveness goes way down.

If you think he's broken you need to be less of a shitter. Galilea was broken (especially with a miko). Beta Pheobe and Ambra was broken. Ghalt's just got strong ganks and rewards good positioning.
