I think something like psyche locks is useful for avoiding the typical "but you didn't find my three specific contradictions hidden behind these presses!" complaint you get with testimonies. It at least helps in pushing a case forwards and keeping the focus in the right places, unless you're like this defense team and just flat-out ignore the locks.
