I did play the first one. As far as a standalone adaptation goes, it was mediocre. But I think it was catered to God Eater players in the first place. It was especially apparent with their different take on the story compared to the game.

Otherwise I think it was acceptable to an extent. The last 2 episodes were pure cancer though. They somehow threw in super sayians and a sword that was edgier and more retarded than your average God Arc which is pretty amazing in a way.

As for Roa, seeing as his first incarnation beat Altrouge, that one can probably handle the vast majority of Servants. But by his 17th incarnation in Tsukihime, he isn't going to be beating anyone that isn't Angra Mainyu. Melty Blood Roa might do a better job, but he's still not as strong as the original Roa.
