Okay yes I do play TF2 and I especially played a lot of pharah in the weekend and at the end of the closed beta. It's basically a little less slow than the DH with splash damage and no fall off. The one thing that I really noticed was the acceleration of pharahs rockets compared to the soldier, soldier felt like it took forever for the rocket to leave the launcher.

Junkrat is fun as fuck for one thing, his rollers can detonate on contact. So a lot of times spamming at the ground in front of enemies can be a lot more effective. His traps are also very effective and overall he's a high skill cap hero that can do tons of damage.

junkrat's gl is fires about the same rate as demoman's, but junkrat's grenades travel much farther and a higher speed. Another interesting thing to note is that junkrat's grenades don't explode after a timer, but after they bounce three times which is pretty neat. One more thing to consider is that since pretty much all the heroes in Overwatch reload by clip instead of loading rocket by rocket or pill by pill. This also means you can't fire your weapon mid way through reloading, so auto reload isn't viable in this game like it was in TF2.

I would say like any hero he is situational and dependent on your team comp. I saw LG use him holding the first choke on Dorado (right before the courtyard/foundtain, near that bridge/hallway). They used a Reinhardt to shield and a Mercy and I think they might have also had a Widow. I don't remember what the last two heroes were. But my point is, if you're defending and you have someone to shield you (or are playing super-defensively and you mobilize quickly) he's good. His turret form (siege?) does massive damage and he can heal himself.

Yeah, I'm not kidding she's useless as tank. She has a GIANT head hitbox which means even with all of her armor HP, she still dies way faster than roadhog. So, use that to your advantage and get really upclose and rape mercies, zen, lucios, etc. They typically can't really deal with you on their own. Don't charge into teams, but again play like tracer/genji and try to take people out from behind one at a time. Then when your ult is up, clear areas. DO NOT use her ult simply for kills, use it to secure areas. If you get a kill, nice, but otherwise you've already accomplished your mission when using an ult if you get people to clear the fuck out.

Reminder that all those meta images are useless outside of telling people Bastion and Torb are bad.

Comp and ranked mode are two entirely different entities, while you'll never see a diva in comp you'll easily see her in high end ranked matches. The difference? One uses the awful stopwatch ruleset that voids most strats and characters from being useful. There are obviously characters that are better or worse than others but even in the highest ranked matches see most of them played and being a credit to the team.

Competitive tournaments use stopwatch rules but it's not official, as in it's not built into the game and they just keep track of it manually. Whether or not you like it is personal preference but it does make for very boring games to watch and does really terrible things to the meta.the

Ingame ranked mode sees both teams play both side of the map and if it's a tie they play one single round of king of the hill to tiebreak it. Not perfect but at least it lets you play the game normally.

One single team fight loss can lose you half a map and one single death can cause you to lose an entire fight because of how insane the long runbacks are.

The problem with stopwatch in OW is that it values speed over strategy, you have no time to use the slower characters, no time to use different flanks or team comps. Nope you have to stick to rushing as fast as you can. It's not fun to fight the clock instead of the enemy team.

One team winning fast, in a game with different characters and strategies, is a completely pointless measurement.

There are fast characters with lower amounts of health, and slower more durable characters. My team shouldn't be punished for taking a different strategy, if it still ends up with a win.

No other real competitive game I can think of does stupid shit like caring about who won at what speed. They don't punish you for playing a control deck in magic the gathering because it's slower than an aggro deck. They don't punish you for playing zoners in fighting games. They don't punish you for playing defensively in star craft.

Not in Overwatch, games swing back and forth so easily that it means you can't take risks, you never get a second chance, and you are forced into using the same "meta" strats and setups because you can't afford anything else. By using stopwatch in comp games it means that players are forced to use the same few characters to rush through the map because you simply don't have the time to use anything else. Going further it degrades the gameplay even more because everything becomes about stalling the objective rather than straight up winning, why do you think Winston/Lucio/Tracer are the main characters used? All they do is hop on the objective and stall it one by one, they have no hope of winning the fight but then again they don't have to because the objective cannot be captured/pushed while a single defender is on it.

I don't think you understand how easy it is to lose in Overwatch, the runbacks are SO fucking long and the character balance means that if you lose one player you are pretty much done for.
